Remember P.H. victims too. All around tragedy.

Oh I have a few thoughts in mind. Put chicken wire on the back side stapled. Hang a grape vine across the top and the sides half way down. Then on the wire hang your large silver cooking spoons, laddels, etc for display. Or even display copper items. I think also painting it white and sponging another color over that and mounting old quilts pieces would look great for another idea. side

I wasn't planning to mount it to anything, actually. Just stand it up against the wall, and put the head of the bed in front of it. I guess I should have taken measurements of it in the store when I saw it, but I can always return it if it doesn't work out. We have cats, so I'm hesitant to use any kind of fabric headboard, although I've thought of that. I just imagine it being covered in cat hair and/or becoming a really cool scratching post. I had an epiphany after reading something Magnaverde wrote. I had just redone the major pieces in our bedroom, and I just wasn't loving it, but that post made me see what was going wrong. And the current paintings turned out to be way more girly than I was planning.

I show my guests the pocket door that creates a private suite for them, closing the hall to their bedroom and bathroom. No one has ever used it. I guess they don't mind if someone happens to be in the other part of the hall when they are taking the 4 steps from their bedroom into their bathroom. I thought it was the best idea ever but I'm the only one impressed with it. Some day I might switch bedrooms just so I can shut that door and justify its installation.
