I also like it with the grout as is.

I think it looks good as is, but only you can decide if the grout lines are "too prominent".

You're best bet would be to do some samples of the new grout colors on a board, put them up against your current wall and then live with them for a few days to decide which you like best. Otherwise you might re-do the whole thing and decide you preferred the current version more.

I think it looks great as is. I thought that's what 1/16" looked like anyway. :p

I like it. Can you give it a few days and see how you feel then? Sometimes the shock of it makes you feel strongly against it and then once you get used to it, you like it.

I agree. It does not look like a horrible mistake! If you didn't mention it, I don't think anyone would really have picked up on it. We tend to over analyze what ever stage we are currently working on.
But it is your kitchen and you have to live with it. Sample boards are always a good idea. So, do one before redoing!

Yeah I am trying to do that. Unfortunately the color is lighter in the pictures. Not to mention it's hard to tell how it looks without being there

While I do really like the pictures of the grouted tile, I can understand your dismay. My parents did the exact same thing years ago when they tiled the family bathroom. They did not notice the tile spacing nubs and ended up with larger grout lines that they just don't love. I would tend to agree that perhaps you should try living with it at least for a little while. But if you still don't like it, I think a lighter gray would look nice too. If you go with white the grout lines will virtually disappear. Personally I think that might be a little bland with white cabinets and without accent tiles like willtv's installation, but that's just my personal preference.

Please leave it as-is, at least for awhile for you to reconsider. A lighter grout, as others have suggested, might look really bland. It looks fantastic with this color of grout.

I really like the subtle grey grout lines as they are. I think with the white cabinets a lighter grout might end up blending too much. I think the slight contrast looks amazing.

Just by looking at it, your kitchen tile looks exactly the same as mine. We used smoke gray. I had the same feelings you have but I'm pretty happy with the look now.

Looks really good. Seems like my grout lightened up a little after a few days after it was put in.

I dunno, basically everyone here is on the gray grout kick. I did my bath in subway tile, and planned on silver shadow grout. my tile guy talked me out of it for white.

He was somewhat insistant (we also knew him, so we weren't really strong armed) I was going to stick to my guns, but with the mosaic I wasn't really sure, and after seeing it ungrouted and pictured with dark, I was basically on the fence on the gray thing. So I went white.

looking at the finished product, I'm glad I listened, it looks great in my bath.

If it looks darker in person than in the pics I'd change it out (assuming its not a huge deal to do) whether to go white or silver, it depends, I can see both as a possible.

but lets be realistic, if you "live with it" you're never goign to get the tile guys back to change it out unless you absolutely hate it and want to change the whole thing down the line.

would you suggest white or silver shadow? Does anyone have a true silver shadow picture, because the ones i've seen show the grout line as really light gray whereas on the laticrete label, the gray is more pronounced. To tell you the truth, I don't want to see the grout lines anymore and might go for a white. I feel like if i do silver shadow it might almost look exactly the same as it is now.

I personally really like it a lot. I'd leave it alone.
That may even be exactly what I'm looking for in my backsplash!

I went white and am happy, I was afraid that if I chose silver shadow it would be pronounced.

Love the Grey tones for grout, not too light otherwise you may as well go for white. About to renovate our kitchen in what you have done here. I love the contrast between tile and grout, it's an added feature to the kitchen without taking away from the cabinets themselves ..No I wouldn't change it at all!
