Thanks for the instructions, Minnie. They are very clear. I've been wanting to try making the 3 dimensional cards, but never take the time. I guess if I started now I would have my Christmas cards ready in time! The old cards done this way were beautiful and interesting!

Hah! I never thought of that until you mentioned it, Minnie... just use my computer and printer to make as many copies of a picture as I need! So much more versatile (and cheaper!) than buying sets of prints or greeting cards to cut up.

Thanks, I finally got busy and stamped some images and then later I sat down with my colored pencils and did the coloring. Then cut them out and let them set around for a while. Late one night I rememered the dimensional stuff and applied that to the images and let them set for a day. I thought maybe the colors would run but they didn't. The papers were from one of those pads with different sheets in it. I just did some cutting and corner cropping and then glued everything down. I didn't have an Easter words stamp so just wrote on the inside. All in all it took about 4 weeks to do and only because I'm just not with it right now. I could have done 1 dozen in a night if I'd have been in the mood. I should get out my Xyron and play with that.

Results of lastest trip to Michaels... Could not find the 3-D Crystal Lacquer. DID find the FolkArt Papier Glass Finish stuff... the colored bottles were thick (non-runny looking), but the 'glass finish' bottle was very runny. I didn't think it would be dimensional like the colored bottles. I found a third option, and "invested" about $4.50 in a 4 ounce bottle (couldn't find any smaller bottles) of Jones Tones Plexi Clear Glue. It is a stretchable glue, acid free, for fabric, leather, wood, paper, candles, and glass. Dries in 1 to 8 hours. I put a few drops on a paper picture yesterday, and by this morning, the drops were clear and dimensional!! A little 'sticky' to the touch still, but that may go away. But maybe not. Oh, boy... raindrops!! And tears, and dewdrops. And maybe windowpanes (glue says it can be brushed on). And water in birdbaths... hmmm - maybe it is good that I got the large bottle after all!
