Hi Tom, So you're in St. Pete on the bay? I could definitely use some of those containers. I'm in north Tampa, though, so I'd have to sort of plan out the trip. By the way, I was just emailing with Elizabeth from Daytona, and she asked if I had met an awesome gardener named Tom from Tampa - I wonder if you're that Tom. Also, your neighbors have coconuts? I've really been wanting to try to grow a coconut palm, even though I don't know if it would survive. Do you think they might be willing to sell me a couple? Are they dwarfs or talls?

Hi Storey, Would love to get your P. coccinea and thunbergia clock vine but don't have any of your wants. I do have some white fragrant crinums, yellow flag iris, blue/purple with yellow beardless iris, red pine cone ginger, EE "Chicago Harlequin" and amaryllis, not Red Lion, but they are dark red. If you want more cannas, I have tall yellow with orangy splashes around throat, perhaps "Richard Wallace". Thanks, Betsy

keep them pruned on a arbor of their own. also pruning after flowering or a month or so before coming out of dormancy will help with flowering or after they flower in summer. blooms on new growth. i have one i have pruned into a tree form. this year had to tie it up got so top heavy but really havent had any trouble on runners, now if the vine itself touches the ground it can root. also be careful about them on other plants and tress as it will strangle them. i have 5 wisteria plants and none have been out of control with pruning and careful not to let them touch the ground. some can run under ground but i havent had that problem. pruning is the best way to keep it under control and let it have something to climb on that is study enough and wont touch nothing else. people just dont take the time to keep it contained and thats when it gets out of control. dont let seeds fall to the ground. but pruning it will keep it in line and flowers bigger and better next season. http://landscaping.about.com/od/vineplants1/p/wisteria_plants.htm

Use the pattern and cut three pieces. Sew numbers 1 & 2 from the 'V' at one end along the edge to the 'V' at the other end - assuming a 1/4" seam - start & stop 1/4" from end. Take piece number 3 and sew to number 2 from 'V' to 'V' the same way. Next sew number 3 to number 1 in the same manner EXCEPT leave an opening in the center of the straight part to turn and stuff the pillow. By not sewing all the way to the 'V' when you're done you will have a 'Y' seam. I find it easier if I mark that point and start & stop sewing one stitch from it. I put a straight pin through the mark on each piece and leave it there until I've finished the seam. Putting the pin at the mark each time I don't have to worry about correct placement/matching.
