Here's one thing I got for my birthday....

I'm going to redo the bedroom

quilt and bag to match

I love it.

Bag is quite large...I'm thinking of taking it apart and making shams to match the quilt.

Jeff gave me a gift certificate to Hancock fabrics...I got it for 60% off.

That is so pretty. I love the soft look.

It's a great idea to make the shams from the bag. It's
nice to be able to sew and come up with a plan to make
a good use of other things!

John said thank you all and yes I can't keep a secret so I end up giving him gifts for a month, lol. I went to pick up his cake today and saw a freshwater puffer fish and got him that so I would have something to give him today, lol. I thought about that earlier and said boy you racked up since I kept giving him each thing as I bought it, lol. It was a good day. His boys helped finish up the cement board on the greenhouse and just have a couple of small pieces left to do thank goodness. That stuff is incredibly heavy.

Debbie, I knew I was missing one!!! I'm so glad you asked! I found it this morning! I looked high and low for it before and recalled that it had red flowers in it, but when I didn't find it, I thought I was mistaken. I should have checked the list. My memory is terrible! So sorry to have caused you any panic! Thanks for all your thoughts and ideas! Oh! Oh! And of course, I forgot to mention that this is part of the NKOTB group! Susan- I had absolute confidence that you knew your friend well enough to predict his reaction. It's great that his response was what you had hoped for. Your photo would make a perfect birthday card. It's the kind of card I'd select for one of my own friends. I wonder if you could submit some of your photos and captions to Hallmark?

Thanks...

Leslie...the quilt came in the bag...but it's way too big to use unless I was into sleep overs...LOL

Laying it flat it is 24 inches wide and 20 inches high.

I'm going to take it to the store and find a fabric that will blend with all the colors and make a ruffle, or maybe a double ruffle. Then I might use that ruffle fabric to make a couple smaller pillows.
