Puzzles to stamp?

I am looking for a place on line to buy the blank puzzles that you can stamp on. I know that Stampin Up and a few craft stores sell them, but I am looking for some place where I can buy a large amount (rather than spend the money to have to buy a ton of packs of 5). If anyone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it.

Although I do not actually know of a particular website to give you I do have an idea for you. The next time you see the puzzles in the stores, check the package for a website or jot down the name of the company that makes them and do a search.

There is another one you might like: FD's Flickr toys. You don't have to be a Flickr member to use most of the features. THE PEWTER SOCIETY JUST GOT BACK TO ME! Call me a " nerdy fan-boy" if you like, but I feel like I just received a letter from a favorite celebrity. Most of what they said was deduced here, but it was still nice of them to respond. Copied and pasted from the e-mail reply: "Dear Bradley Thanks for your enquiry 9 September. This is an English 19th century straight sided quart measure with verification marks for the County of Gloucester (round mark) and a crowned VR 409 which is probably from Settle in Yorkshire and put in the reign of Queen Victoria. The verification marks were put on by the Excise Inspector when he checked the quart mug in use to ensure that the publican was not giving short measure. We switched to the Imperial capacity standard in 1826 and still use it today when we are not using metric so you can check its capacity. An Imperial quart is 20 fl oz and an Old English Ale standard quart is 20.3 fl oz. 1 fl oz is 28.413 ml . It is quite likely that the tin alloy contains a small proportion of lead to harden the metal so not recommended for drinking out of today."

Yes, I do agree, great customer service and a generous solution that will keep customers coming back. However, I still don't think Springbok's puzzles to be superior to all other makers. They do use some unique subjects in their puzzles and their puzzles are nice to do, but a couple other makers have, in my opinion, a little bit better quality puzzle. Brushworks, many people just use a card table, get the biggest one you can find in order to do the larger count puzzles. For someone with the space, there are wooden tables that have a spinable top. And you can buy a spinner type thingy just for puzzle doers to put on a table you have. Do a web search for puzzle tables.

Pictures may help. But paint would be about the only thing I would suggests sight unseen. You could build a deck over the top of it as well.

This is REALLY time consuming but I just took a large puzzle (pieces were large for children)and acrylic painted on them. Then I decoupaged a picture that I cut out to match the puzzle pieces. HA......I did Venus de Milo and Mona. Will post picture later.....but anyway, one could paint with a pale acrylic paint and then stamp, glue on items, etc.

Hmm Rosie, I think I just might try that-for myself! The puzzles I want to buy are for shower gifts. I want to make baby shower gifts and I am going to stamp on them. Thanks for the info.

Jennifer......I have posted some pics of my puzzle butterflies in the gallery. Would be cute to do for a shower.
