In my previous post, ignore last question. I should've asked is he using the latest version of Quicktime? is he trying to burn a CD or a DVD? (you mentioned both) which program is he using to burn the disc? Is he using any software that came with the camera to accomplish any part of this process? If yes, what is it?

oh, for goodness sake, it is a DVD!! I just don't know enough about computers to even pay that much attention to things like that. I don't have a burner on my computer, at least I don't think I do, so I supposes this is just useless for me. Well, it sure will teach me to look before I buy next time. Am disappointed though because I really wanted it to work. I think I better look for a kindergarten book on computers. Also checked a game I couldn't install---it, too, was a DVD. I just learned a valuable lesson. Thanks for your help. I do appreciate it. BT

I would NOT reduce the size of your pictures. You can't go back on that one - and you may want the higher quality at some point. Why not use DVD's - they hold SO much more than a cd. I actually prefer an external hard drive. They are getting so cheap! The one I use is super portable - it is about the size of my phone! It is USB powered, so I do not have to plug it in to a power outlet. I could even take it to a photo machine and plug it in (via USB, just like a flash drive) and print pictures if I wanted.
