Krikit, everything is done on the computer. Digital Scrapbooking is scrapbooking using a graphics based program. Most computer scrapbookers use Microsoft Picture It!, Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. I use Microsoft Picture It!, it is a very easy program to learn. A lot of peole do print out their work and put them in albums, but I just put my work on cd's to be looked at on the computer. http://www.scrapbook-bytes.com/ is where I first learned about digital scrapping. Thanks Linda in Georgia for the url,I love her graphics.They sort of remind me of D J Inkers which is so cute but pricey.I love to use clipart off the internet and put on floppy disks to save until I need the graphic and or sayings and then put on page and print.I have been back to www.jangle.com and www.dMarie.con as they are 2 of my favorite scrapbooking websites to visit.

But is it safe to use pages that you print from your computer??? I am just barely getting started in with scrapbooking (I have some supplies but haven't sat down to actually put a page together) but I thought you had to have acid free and I was told so far there isn't any acid free ink for computers.

I guess it depends on what you used for the background of your page. If you stuck your bits and pieces onto the 'cardstock' that comes with the album, then certainly use the back of it. I tend to use other paper for the background, nearly always a sheet of coloured cardstock. Then I slip in between the album page and the page protector. Then I do the same for the other side. I wouldn't use both sides of the coloured cardstock though, because I don't think it is sturdy enough. Looking at the finished product, it is usual to open the album and see a left hand side and a right hand side. How you get to that is entirely up to you. You may choose whatever look you want to.
