Anyone have 'google earth'??

I've been trying to install it, doing all the required stuff, and it still won't take, says comp won't support it, have xp, should work. did a bunch of upgrades, etc. any help?

Have you checked your firewall settings? Current on your Windows Updates? Without more info on what you have, have done and what the error messages are saying, about the best I can suggest is check the system requirements and see if you have what you need.

Doing a quick search on it, it looks like you're not alone in having trouble with it, but I don't suppose that's mch comfort to ya!

Funny, I was just using my Google Earth a few minutes ago. It worked fine. I have XP, IE 7. I installed mine 7/2/07 though. I haven't done any upgrades. Sorry I can't help.
Try googling "trouble installing Google Earth".

Wow...how cool is that, and I loved (most of)the music as well. I few of the pics looked a little fake to me...did they to anyone else? My cousin scares me and makes me wonder if he can see inside my apartment from Google Earth. I scare easily. I'm a little alarmed too that someone 'could' invade my privacy, even when outside doing whatever I do. Occasionally I do (what I hope are ) private things outside ,particularly when gardening, if I'm rather busy. Did anyone else see 'too much' poolside?...lol Katlin, I'm wondering if possibly you don't have whatever program is needed to view it. Is there maybe any kind of a message at the top that tells you that such and such is needed to view it. I have had that happen b4 at other places, and once I got what was needed, I could view whatever it was OK. Sue

Sorry for the delay but your invite is on the way. The thing I like best about (formerly GrandCentral, now) Google Voice is the forwarding number feature. I use it when I want to let someone call me, BUT have some control in case they abuse it. Especially my cell phone. If someone starts calling too much or harassing or give it out or something you can turn it off and not affect your actual number. The voicemail is kind of nice but it's not the most accurate. There's been some funny transcriptions! If it can't make out what's being said, it'll take a guess or just leave a blank space. It can also block numbers if you want. You can get SMS messages via email. And you can set it up to call, for instance your home phone, your cell phone and your office phone so if you happen to be out at a store, you'll get the call without having to dial 3 numbers to find you. I also used it for a while so a couple friends could call without long distance charges. I had a local number for them, they'd call that number and it'd forward to me. But now with cells so predominant, that part is of little value anymore. It's not for everyone, but there's some very nice features if you need them.

I have it, but I'm on Vista. I had it on my old computer running XP.
It's somewhat of a resource hog, and it would have been nice to have high speed Internet with it, but I don't recall other issues.

I had it at work and it was so cool! I could go right to our home in India! Pretty much all you can see is coconut trees!

I have it, and have no problems with it. Downloaded it a couple of years ago. Got windows millennium.
