I'm choosing a color

This is a rug I got a fantastic deal on, and since my fave color is orange, I couldn't pass it up. Probably not the smartest move, but it's mine now!
That being said, I want to create a computer/garden room. I love houseplants, gardening, etc., and I will incorporate a lot of things that are personal to me. But I'm stuck on what wall color to go with. I did a test run on the wall with SW Lantern Light, and while I absolutely love the color, don't think it does anything with the rug.
So, any suggestions? Peach? Green? I will be using Sherwin Williams paint.
Btw, I usually post now and then on the gardening forums, but love coming to the decorating side!
This room has a western exposure, in Texas, but also has solar shades on the outside of the home.

How about the blue? I love blue and orange. :) My family room....(sorry for the mess - I can't seem to find a pic with the orange rug and the blue walls that doesnt have toys in it.)

I think I'd check out a few greens. I can envision a garden room with plenty of plants painted a soft, mid-range green, with your rug which reminds me of the color of terra cotta pots! Now ... getting the right green is another matter entirely. I had a heck of a time deciding on the perfect shade in my own home.

fairytalebaby, I'm so excited for you. I remember your beautiful setting when you posted over on Building a Home. When we picked out paint colors before we had furniture we also stuck to neutral. It's hard enough to choose paint when you have actual materials you are trying to match but without the furniture, neutrals are your friend. As for the ceiling. There is no rule, only personal preference. I was formally a white ceiling kinda gal but the more I looked at new homes and some beautiful shots here on Garden Web, the more I really wanted to try some color. I love it now and can't even imagine going back to white ceilings. I'm a total convert. Some like a 50% cut of their wall color. Some like light gray (like Ellen Kennon's Gustavian Gray) Some like cream. It's totally up to you! Good Luck and can't wait to see what you're picking out for your interior! Beautiful Home! Lindy

Ditch the linear mosaic entirely and use the 2x2 in the niche. The 12x24 for the shower walls. Test that gray tile for dirt, lint, and high maintenance before committing to it. You might just want to use the Carrara for everything tile.

What chloebud said. Few garage doors are attractive or special enough to highlight. If you paint your garage door the same color as the body of the house the huge blank space of the garage tends to blend in which is a good thing. Just like "hiding " down spouts with same/similar is a good thing. In your case you might choose a garage door color that "reads" like the overall color of the brick. That might be easiest to do by standing across the street with paint color samples and hold up a few that look like they will blend in with the brick. I agree blue might be a touch one to coordinate with your brick. I like the cream and gray/tan colors for the body of the house and the black accent color would look sharp. Garage door color same/similar as house color: (photos not loading. But google "garage door colors same as house " or similar search on Houzz and those photos are helpful to visualize.)

What is your question? If you're asking what neutral color to paint your entryway, are you looking for greys or beiges or greiges or browns or blacks or creams or other whites? What undertones do you want? What other colors do you have in your home?

I vote green too. I would try to match the green on the leaves in the rug's border.

Definitely a pastel green. Very light. Add some pale yellow accent pieces to help with the garden feel.

Thank you all so much for your responses! I had thought about green. And I love the idea of pale yellow accent pieces. Yellow is my second favorite color! I can envision this room in my mind, just have to set about creating it now!
