I have oak cabinets and oak floors in the kitchen and they coordinate well with one another. You could stain your oak floor either lighter or darker than your cabs for some contrast. I would try to make the flooring in your kitchen a similar color to the flooring in the rest of your house so that the floor flows from room to room.
