I think the Woodmere you have pictured would be perfect! When I was faucet shopping it seemed that they all were either very very modern, reasonably traditional, or (the vast majority) somewhere in the middle, i.e. transitional. I think you would be fine with any except the very modern ones, which means that about 80% of the faucets out there would work. (Those are very pretty kitchens you have posted, by the way...)

Mine is the Moen Brantford and it seems to be fairly similar to the Vinnata though maybe skewing more transitional.

I saw the title of this and came here to post the faucet we're putting in out kitchen, the Moen Woodmere! Haha! Like you, I love the beauty of bridge faucets. But I know they won't be practical for us in our day to day lives. We had the Kohler Vinnata in our previous home. It's pretty too. I just wanted a change. I encourage you to go see both in person as well as the finish. The Woodmere doesn't come in polished nickel. The stainless is warmer than the chrome. But the chrome is shiny and pretty (though more blue in its undertone). You may want to think about that when pondering your lighting and hardware choices. We selected polished chrome. But since then have selected a few polished nickel things in the kitchen (with some bronze light fixtures) and a silver leaf dining chandelier which is adjacent to the kitchen. Now I'm rethinking the chrome as it may be too cool. Go for the Woodmere! Love that darned faucet and couldn't be happier with my choice!

Your inspiration pic is one of mine for my kitchen, although mostly for the cabinet color, as the kitchen will be much simpler since we have a very simple 1870s house. I love the woodmere...but thought it'd be too "fancy" for us. I think it'd look great if yours is going to look more like the pic.

I ended up going with the Delta Leland, fwiw.

Excited to see another yellow kitchen...ours should be done in a couple of weeks. We're in the middle of painting our new maple cabs!

The Woodmere is very pretty. We had the Vinnata for 6 years in our last kitchen, and we both loved the looks and function of that faucet. I would use it again, but we are going modern this time.

I have the Moen Woodmere both large and small in my kitchen. LOVE IT!!! easy on off and easy to hit the rubber button to switch to spray. I have ORB and it is still like new 18 months later.

hlove- Can't wait to see your yellow kitchen! What paint color are you using for your cabs? : )

We're using BM Hawthorne Yellow in their Advance line of paint (which goes on beautifully!). Yellow is so difficult to choose...our kitchen is north-facing, with some east light coming from an adjacent new eat-in-area. So far, I've noticed it's a bit more "lemony" in the morning, especially when it's sunny out, but as the day goes on, it gets deeper and warmer. We do still have one more coat to do. Love it so far!

hlove- PLEASE post a picture when you can ; ) I have that sample but it's deeper than I have been looking. Does it look like the above pics? Maybe I should look darker. Mine are a little more buttercream in color... (america's heartland, lightning bolt, windham cream, pale moon, weston flax, antiquity)

I also have the Woodmere; large at my clean up sink and small at my prepe sink. I love it and it's very functional and pretty, but sometimes I do wish I had gone with the bridge faucet.

I have a Whitehaus Metrohaus faucet that is a lot like the Kohler Vinnata (that we almost got) but the height and reach worked better for us.

Yes, the yellow looks pretty much like your inspiration photos. Looks like your 2nd pic in the morning and more like the 1st pic later in the day...subtle difference. Weston flax is the next one up on the card, right? I'm sure it would also read yellow, but a much more subdued one, although it definitely would depend on the kind of light you're getting.

Lascatx or anyone with a Whitehaus Metrohaus: what can you tell me about the sprayer? Can you set it to spray and leave it spraying without holding in the button?

Someone recommended the Brizo Floriana...I have it and gotta tell you, I don't like it. It's quite difficult to turn from stream to spray and back again...not a button, but you turn the bottom of the sprayer. That means when your hands are soapy you can't get a good enough grip on it.

It's pretty, but I wouldn't do it. (Mine came with my sink, bought at an auction, so I kept it, at least for now, but wouldn't have bought it).

melissastar, I think you have the bar faucet, which is a little smaller than the standard kitchen sink Floriano. I don't think many bar faucets have a spray pattern at all. I have both sizes in my kitchen, and I can assure you, switching from spray to stream is simple. It is a rocker-type button on the back side of the head, and it can be seen in the picture that writersblock posted. I am very happy with this faucet and would certainly purchase it again. I got it after good recommendations from others on this site who also have it, roughly 5 years ago.

suska: Interesting. Mine does not have a rocker switch, but it definitely has a spray. I wonder if mine is an older model that has since been changed to be more user-friendly?
It seems unlikely to be a bar faucet as it is quite large (works well with my 33" Cape Dory single bowl) and, as you say, most bar faucets don't have sprays at all.

Well in that case, anyone attracted to the Floriana...I retract my criticism...just be sure yours has the rocker switch!

Angie -- yes, the sprayer on the Metrohaus stays on once you push it until you change it. I think it returned to flow when you turned it off. After I think 4-1/2 years, my valve is showing some wear and not always going back to flow, but I still like that better than my prep sink faucet that requires the sprayer button to remain held down. I was sure I checked that out on all the faucets I looked out. Oh well. We would have preferred it the other way, but we are even okay with that one.

lascatx: Thank you for the information. That puts me over the top: I have decided to get the Metrohaus. The reach and height are better than the other contenders, but I wanted the continuous spray feature, too. Now off to shopping!
