My nature is to be suspicious of those kinds of venues.

Yeah, Facebook's TOS isn't much different than the TOS here at GW, and I see lots of you posting your pictures here, so why would you post them here and not on FB?

I don't quite "get" Facebook yet. It is nice that you can go in and leave a comment now and then, but I could live without it. It seems a lot like MySpace. And I don't quite "get" that one either. LOL

Vicki you have to just jump in and start playing. It's like learning to use a computer. You gotta do it to get it.

I'm having fun there. DD's and DS's friends are always sending me so much stuff I can't do it all but when I have participated it all became clear. LOL

I don't take Facebook too seriously. I look at it as just a fun playground for people to share and find others of like interests.

Oh, yeah - I remember when that GardenWeb TOS came to light. That's when I stopped posting my better pictures.

Joan, if you come back to this thread I'd be interested in knowing how they reacted to it on The View.

I was sort of half-watching it. Whoopie said that she does not go on facebook or any similar site and that is one of the reasons. She said that she doesn't like how people can put anything they want on someone else's page. Of course, she might not realize that you can delete stuff.

I think Joy was against it too, but I'm not sure how the other ladies responded.

Geeesh, I guess, I waited to long to close out my face book. I got bored with it. Really don't want to spend the time to check yet another place. Really shouldn't have ever started it I guess. Only did, to keep up with one friend. Oh well, I still got the KT! :)

I post all the time- in all kinds of places. The best rule of thumb is to only share what you want the world to see.
