Just Peeped in to Say 'Hello'

Hey, Everyone! Last time I posted, I was looking for a very fast drying sealer for my oil paintings, which by the way, doesn't exist. I haven't found it yet, anyway. I did seal it and ship the painting to Alabama. If anyone lives near or in Montgomery, Alabama, the painting will be in a Louisiana Poboy Restaurant there. It is a black Fleur De Lis with a gold background...signed Lulie Cosby

It will be hung during the first part of March. The designer is supposed to take a picture for me, but if any of you would like to do so, I'd love to see it in the restaurant. Save me a trip. lol

In addition to my painting commissions I am co-authoring a book called "Christin, Forever 19". It is a partial fiction/biographical book with my deceased daughter and our family as main characters. My children's high school English teacher contacted me and told me that he has written several books and had them published and wants to do one with Christin as the main character. Of course, I was so happy to help. Anyway, I've been so busy.

I hope all of you are doing well. I try to come peep in as much as I can, but just haven't had a lot of time to spare.

Hi Lulie!!

Let us know the name of the book when it gets published. I'm sure many KTers (me included) would be interested in buying a copy.

I remember looking at the web site with Christin in it. She was a beautiful girl Lulie. I know it must have been the most painful thing to live through. Keep us posted as to when the book is out, okay? And congratulations on your painting.

Hi cAROL, I'm very sorry to hear about your husband's passing. It's nice to see you too! I'm only planting perennials right now. The containers aren't coming to me as fast as I'd like, so I'm slowly but surely getting my seeds planted. Trying a few new kinds and hoping they sprout. Thanks everyone! Jasmine is really easy here, both star and pink. Pink jasmine is about ready to bloom. Star jasmine blooms more in May and June. The star would be great going up on the fence side because it is shadier there. I'll have to use that idea!

OMgosh, jaybird! What a party "hoe-down!" Wow, you really pulled out alot of 'country' decor! Love the 'feed sacks!' ...but your centerpc are quite awesome! Everything just looks so 'vintage' & fun! What alot of work...I wish I could have been at the party! I could identify w/lots of your decor! But I have never seen that little 'wringer washer' pc before...love the bandana colors, boot colors & just downright country decor! Hi Lulie...I remember you from the Grieving Forum where you posted often. You have always been so kind and helpful to people there. Surely do remember your dear daughter also, Christin. It's wonderful to honor her memory by co-authoring the book. Best wishes, and glad you checked in.

Hi Lulie, it's nice to hear from you. I hope you'll show us a picture of your painting when you get one. Good luck with the book. It must be causing a lot of tears to fall from sweet memories and from grief. Hugs to you.

My SIL lives in Mobile, but has family in Montgomery, so I'll let her know in case they go there! I remember Christin's site and her beautiful pictures! I would also be interested in your book.

Y'all are so very sweet. Yes,it has been painful to relive so many wonderful memories of our precious daughter, but it's also been a good thing. I kind of had a meltdown sitting in her closet last night as I was going through her things and reading letters that people wrote to her. We put many of them in the coffin with her. Her room and closet is pretty much the same as it was when she left us. We haven't needed it, so I have just left it as it was.
The name of the book is "Christin, Forever 19"
We are about half way finished now and would like to get it printed by April 5 which is Christin's heaven date.
It's great to hear from all of you again. So many kind people here. I LOVE to look at all of your pictures when I can. Take care! Will try to come back again before too long.
