Sorry to hear of these major disruptions in your life, recently, Vique.

You probably know your own needs best, but some have felt that coming here to tell of their hurts has helped some ... in the first place, in putting words to their hurt ... and in the second place, to bask in the sunshine of the sympathy, empathy, good suggestions and concerns that many have offered here.

Without a greater awareness of your circumstances, it's probably unwise to offer suggestions, but I've often heard that, following such a major disruption as the death of a loved one, it's often a good idea to give some thought to avoiding making other drastic changes in one's life for a year or so, until things have settled down a bit and the person(s) more or less in the eye of the storm have had an opportunity to get back down to earth and be ready to move forward in the new life that's theirs, now.

Some who thought it wise to make some rather drastic life changes when they were rather distraught have lived to regret such action(s), later.

Good wishes as you go forward, making plans and putting them into action to deal with this new dimension of life into which you are moving.

I send some good thoughts and hopes your way, trusting that you may be pleased with your choices as the years go by, and find peace in your heart as you move into the future, trusting that, carefully chosen and implemented, you will be pleased with the choices that you make.

sorry for your (((loss)))...know when my dad passed, my mom did move (from apt to mobile home, same town) but other than a trip with family, she took her time to grieve and adjust...

once she was ready, she developed a good routine...joined swim fitnes for srs at a local pool, made some awesome friends from that class and was as busy as she wanted...she'd drive from vegas where she lived to see us in san diego...(alone!) it was amazing to see her independence...

I can feel the warmth and caring from all these messages across the miles and am so fortunate to have all of you as my friends. For the ones who also lost loved ones last year, you have my sincere sympathy. It's hard but we will survive. I'm not set up to do any sewing yet, Flamingo, but it won't be long. I could use some new summer clothes, nothing real dressy just casual things.
