The Kitchen Table

A new webstie I found

I'm not sure how I found it, but it is a really interesting site and the forums are busy, busy! I could spend a whole day just looking at all the different information. The food-drink forum is good and so are the recipes, but the most fascinating is the city-data site. Each state is listed along with information on various cities. If you have trouble finding stuff, let me know. But to see different forums click on either city-data or general forums in the upper left hand corner.

Here is a link that might be useful: city-data

Yep been using it for years, it's been a wealth of information.
Especially if you are looking at cities to relocate to.
I love looking at real estate online and that site is a good resource for the searching.
We are considering retirement areas or additional home /away places. Using zillow, har, realtor, and a few of the other search sites along with city data can give you a pretty good snapshot of the area.

Elmer's wrote and said they are not acid free so they can't be used in scrapbooking. Too bad. What I use them for anyway is detailing cards. They look great on that.

No need to drown readers with input. But a facts are helpful. # of loads. type of loads, f.ex. whites, towels, poly workout etc. enzyme/non-enzyme detergent? very different results with Method liquid vs Persil Pro Clean f.ex. temperatures tested i.e how hot is the hot wash? You told us 125F. Is that as hot as it goes? Internal heater? Number of cycles & Range of cycle lengths These are quick facts that should be known up front. A pretty interface is fine though it doesn't do anything for me. Who cares if the machine mixes -- I put all the stuff in first. I want it to work best not stupidist. Also why certain things, like a heater and number of cycles are important and why they are not. Then folks can adjust response to their needs.

New roof - found pieces of black paper that fell off. Should I worry?

I agree with Party-music. It does not look like black paper off a roof. Did your roofer even use black paper. Most now use a different type of roof wrap. In any case, even if it is black paper, it couldnt come off the roof before the shingles, so you would be seeing both.

Very interesting and looks really busy too. I've found that many of the forums that I used to participate in have just dried up and some have "blown away" too.

Very active posting, huge # of fora!
One question for those who post or are familiar w/ the site... What's this about winning $ or prizes for members/posters? For real?

I will say that not all the information is spot on. I have looked up my street and the homes including mine and for several there's incorrect information. Like mine has incorrect number of bedrooms and bathrooms, sq ft, sold prices etc. So don't depend too heavily on all the information there.

The forums are very active.
