BOLD TIGER grew here for years (sold it to a club member) but I never saw hummingbirds around it or heard of it being a hummingbird magnet (?)If you want a hummingbird magnet, try some other perennials, like Butterfly bush or hostas,etc! There are lots of better purples than the ones you are mentioning. Some of the archives in this forum mention some really good purples!

Rita, thanks for the Classic Edge suggestion. I am going to start making a list of others with dark eyes and edges that I can get to replace these if they don't shape up. Kay, this will be my third season with Bold Heritage and I may just do that. I really hate to, but if it is going to frustrate me every year, it's not worth the disappointment. Julia, both of these are listed as MRE, they both bloomed last year in mid-June like they are doing this year, and both performed the same way as they are starting out this year. I have a lot of pictures of these two because I originally thought that I had bought the same one twice and named them differently. That's how closely they resemble each other in looks, height, bloom time, and performance. I had another post last year about these two on this forum, but can't find it now. Nancy, sorry to bring you bad news about Border Music. Crossing may help, lol! Vickie

Fran, your Bold Ms. Piggy is breathtaking, and so are all your other MG's! :) Mine are really doing well this year also. You have m any of the one's I have. The Wisteria Tyedye is just waiting to burst open, one did already, but it didn't open completely. Wish I could work this photo bucket. :) Arum

mic111: Sorry for not seeing your question sooner. While the bathroom is finished from a plumbing, tiling, painting standpoint, it's still a work in progress. We've done very little by way of "decorating" yet. I've also found it tough to take pictures because of the way that light from the skylight bounces around + the problem of photographing a relatively small space. Below are pictures to show you what it looks like now. You'll notice that the wall colors have stayed the same. I lost that battle with DH. But at least wall color is not permanent. Now that we've been using the bathroom for a little over a month, we are quite happy with it. We didn't get the lighting right, but that's an issue only at night. Ok, enough talk. Here are the pictures, such as they are. When you walk into the bathroom, immediately to the left is the concrete sink with vanity, as pictured below. The blue painter's tape is there to protect the space between the sink and the wall. We were going to use a tile backsplash (even bought some wonderful tile), but in the end kept coming back to how good the sink looked against the green. So we'll be running a bead of silicone instead. From Bathroom Continuing around the room, the steam shower is next. You can sort of see the middle panel of tiles with a wave pattern that mimics the sink. From Bathroom The tub is next to the shower along the same wall. I love, love, love this soaking tub!
