Generally get their Greek baked snapper, but none today, as they don't have it, Wednesday's, so I had their chicken pot pie.

Ample serving so that's all I ate.

I don't mind the prep, Patti. It's the clean up I don't like. I guess we're having a salad. LOL Although it's cold here and I might dig out a soup from the freezer. DH can have that salad if he wants.

It's chilly and rainy here today and the rain is supposed get pretty serious tonight and tomorrow.

I just loaded my Aroma cooker with Zitti pasta with ground beef, and a garlic mushroom pasta sauce. Have a loaf of garlic bread to go with it.

When it comes to precipitation, why does it have to be feast or famine? It's been really cold here in my part of Ohio lately.

I had a stuffed pepper and a potato for my evening meal. Sometimes peppers can be sort of bitter, but this batch is really good.

I made a pot of lentil soup, thanks to someone 's supper last night. I love lentils and always have a bag or two in the pantry. I looked up the ancient grains recipe, which sound great, but didn't have all those ingredients. Mine didn't have a fraction of the sodium, though.

So yummy.

I had a half bowl of chili soup and some cornbread I made today.

We had balsamic glazed salmon with seasoned potato wedges done in the oven. Added a side of steamed broccoli and cauliflower plus a green salad that I used some of the tomatoes in that were on special today at the store. They looked beautiful, and surprisingly tasted as good as they looked. Have fudge pie for later....if the blood sugar allows.

Glenda, pot pie sounds wonderful--but then I love chicken pot pie--even the Banquet kind. :-)

Georgysmom, I clean up as I prep, so in my tiny mind, that's just part of the prep. Soup sounds good and I'm sure you have several kinds in your freezer. (Which I'd love to look through, BTW!) You always seem to have wonderful things in there.

Raven, my heavens, does that pasta ever sound delish! I'll google the mushroom-garlic sauce, but if I can't find it, do you mind if I come back and beg for the recipe?

Shirley, have you noticed the price of peppers has gone way down? Even the red ones are under a dollar here.

Sue, that's it! I'm making chili tomorrow. I still have cornbread in the freezer (Irondale), but I like saltines with mine. I also have a quirky thing--I like a little bit of sweet pickle relish stirred in before I eat it. Got that from my father.

I wound up with a bowl of chicken soup. It was really good. DH doesn't like chicken soup (how could you not) so he made himself a salad. Last night when I got home from bridge, I noticed a pan with red sauce in it so I teased DH about it. What happened to I only want a salad for the next two weeks? Well, he saw some leftover ravioli and thought he'd help me by cleaning out the refrigerator. Right!

Today was 'hunting and gathering' day~~I bought some yummy looking fresh sliced ham for DH to make a sandwich on a yummy fresh Kaiser roll, I also bought today;)

I was at Sprouts, so I bought some potato salad and a artichoke pasta salad~~OH! I also went to another shop and got DH a big ole piece of carrot cake;)

I will have some type of sandwich also or maybe just toast one of the Kaiser roll's and eat salads/fruit.

I was smart today while at Sprouts, I bought these 2 hugh half clam shells that are full of chopped up seafood and what not, they put them in foil pans already for the oven, not sure if they are good tho;) Also 2 good size chicken teriyaki kabobs~~I feel bad since I do vegetarian that my sweetheart does not always get so much yummy stuff;)

Also picked up a take out menu for a new Mexican place that opened about 2 miles from us;) Hope their food is
good so I can add that to our takeout rotation;)

We had pan-seared salmon, spinach salad with pear and blue cheese, and something we rarely eat - mashed potatoes. They were so good! Came up with a tasty new salad dressing tonight. I mixed a little peach rosemary preserves with white balsamic vinegar and olive oil.

LOL, Patti, I didn't think my photo of the spinach quiche was that appetizing. It was good, I'm still thinking about it :)

I am poofed this evening. Wish I knew ahead of time what Ravencajun was cooking. LOL, I could have crashed her dinner engagement :] I'm partially Italian at heart so pasta is good anytime for me.

So, I had a long day helping my mom with some paper works. What was supposed to be half an hour turned into an all day event. As Ravencajun already described, it has been cold and wet here. All I wanted was some hot noodle soup. So, that's what I made. The noodles were a very thick tapioca flour type. It was a quickie, a throw-into-the-pot-what-'s-in-the-fridge kind of soup. Below is a little info on this type of noodle soup. Although, mine was much simpler than what showed on this link.

I've been on that J.J. Virgin eating plan where for three weeks you give up dairy, soy, corn, gluten, egg whites, sweeteners and peanuts.

That limits my meal options somewhat (but I feel good).

I sauteed chopped onion in olive oil, added chunks of salmon and cooked them together for a couple of minutes.

Added pea sprouts and spinach to the skillet with a pinch of salt and a splash of water. Put the lid on to let the veggies steam for another couple of minutes.

Served it over brown rice, and it was nice and filling.

I made some gluten-dairy-egg-soy-sweetener-free baked pumpkin stuff for dessert, which is cooling.

I mixed applesauce with powdered tapioca starch and almond milk, added a little vanilla, ginger and cinnamon. Then I put in a can of pumpkin, mixed it all up with a whisk and baked it in a casserole dish.

Looks and smells good, but it's too hot to taste yet.
