I usually think it's just my novice status that's mostly to blame for anything that goes wrong. I didn't plant out in April/early May because it was too wet. Thought little roots needed "air" to flourish and not sodden soil. Didn't know it would get so much worse. Slug invasion non-stop and deer are eating more which I don't understand since rain must have helped grow wild foraging plants. We have sticks for rose bushes...not a bud or leaf left. Thanks a lot Bambi...hope you got nicked while crushing the rabbit fencing around them. All echinacea now without buds. What's the use of growing "first year blooming" perennials (Prairie Splendor & Baby White Swan) if they're going to eat all the first year blooms? Buds just sitting there on Bachelor Buttons and Calendula. I keep telling them "it's JUNE...you can come out now"... at least the ones left that deer haven't eaten. There are a few that aren't face down in the mud who have no excuse not to bloom...LOL. Extra Morning Glory I sowed in 16 oz. cups are bigger than ones I already planted out in ground. Thinking of putting them in pots next to ground planted ones in hopes something fills the space they're supposed to be the main star in. The one truly happy plant is Joe Pye Weed (Eupatorium maculatum) which is topping out at 7' already. I have to knock earwigs off it regularly but it's standing proudly out there towering among slug/deer eaten or puny non-growing plants in butterfly garden. One Datura metal looks like if has a flower bud...on a plant about 12" tall. Hope that's normal. Slugs eating their leaves too. The list of things to whine about is endless...LOL.

I ordered over $400 worth of some knobs and backplates from him. He advertised that they were the same as what Lowe's carries. Well, when I got them, they were knock-offs and not the brass knobs like Lowe's carried. They were zinc. Also, the backplates did not have the little nipple to keep them from spinning once you install the. The ones I ordered at Lowe's did. At the end of the day, he did take them back and refunded my money. I was out the shipping, but it was worth it. He was a fast shipper and handled my dissatisfaction well. He no longer advertises that these are brass, but still claims they are like the ones at HD and Lowes. They LOOK like the original designs, but like I said, they are knock offs of the originals, which are brass. Here's the knob I ended up buying after purchasing over 40 different designs and finishes of knobs and handles from myriads of stores locally and sellers online. I'm telling you, this knob looks the best with my granite and cabinets. It was a unanimous vote for weight, color, and texture. The photo does not do the knob justice. I ended up buying a ton of knobs and Redbuyer2000, the ebay seller, who bent over backwards to find the matching handles for me to go with this knob. She has the best shipping prices out there, too. ajard, Amerock has one, the Pull Essential'Z BP9365-G10. It is near the end of the 45 cup pulls on the Amerock site. I also considered BP1592-G10. It's different and interesting but not screamingly so. See the link below. Sherwhy, you said not exposed but the Highland has exposed, unless I looked at the wrong thing. I love the look of those though, and considered those as well. It looks like you like the squared look better if the Gilmore and Highland are your top two, but FYI this is what we ended up with: Amerock BP4235-G9 I love them and functionally they are not insubstantial at all. They don't look that way either. I am not using my cab;nets yet because we don't have counters, but I have pulled the drawers open repeatedly and the pulls are great. Amerock BP76270-G9 is the knob we used for cab;net doors. BP1593-G10 I had to use this finger pull somewhere, so I have two on each of my second island's drawers where we will keep good china and silver. BP874-G9 This is the pull that was supposed to go on the tall pantry but for whatever reason the cab;net maker got BP55346-G10 instead. My cab maker said our top drawers will be 4 3/4" and with rails there will be 1 3/4" space in between for hardware. Springroz has 3" space in between and Christine has 6" drawers with 3" in between. That could be the difference. Out of our 26 drawers, only 8 are small top drawers so maybe I should do slab on those. Looking back I do like the look for the top drawer. I was just "scared" that without a bead they may be too plain but I think with everything else that goes on in a kitchen it will probably look great anyway! Just making sure with cab maker all the top drawers are 4 3/4" before I make a final decision : )
