Today's Breakfast - What'd you have?
Comments (30)Oh Carol those are really cute pancakes! Today I had a piece left over from my pizza making yesterday....mine was a vegetable tart, a recipe from Mallorca where I used to live. It's a sort of a ratatouille tart and tastes even better the next day. I usually have some whole grain toast, fruit or yoghurt and a black coffee but it's nice to eat something different for a change. SharonCb...See MorePate a choux.
Comments (19)Vanilla ice cream sounds delicious. I like them filled with whipped cream, too. Yes, like eclairs, only longer. :) I am a complete klutz with a piping bag. (I greatly envy those lovely rose petal frosted cupcakes Annie, Alexa, and others produce.) I am making more for Christmas Eve. I am joining another family. Alice and Daniel will not be home this year for Christmas. This time I will make real pastry cream. I'll have time....See MoreWhat's for Dinner ... Friday?
Comments (7)I went out with a neighbor to a wonderful restaurant and had prime rib and baked potato along with a ceasear salad. I brought 3/4 of the prime rib home because it was LARGE! I'll probably have two more meals from it. I even had a whiskey sour which is real unusual for me. It was so good and we had fun....See MoreSaturday Morning Breakfast
Comments (32)We went out for breakfast today. I ordered a benedict of fresh spinach, grilled tomatoes, crisp bacon and avocado - hold the eggs. The hollandaise sauce was made in house and was very good, although I would not have minded a bit more lemon. My only complaint was that the english muffins became kind of soggy due to the spinach and tomato that was sitting on top. If I were to order this again, I'd slide the english muffins out from under the spinach and tomatoes before starting to eat. I think this desconstructed benedict would be perfection and I may make it at home one of these days. I also had a cup of fruit salad on the side that consisted of fresh pineapple, cantaloupe, strawberries, blueberries and sections of pink grapefruit....See Morefenworth
