DigitDigitDigit..... I have a link to that site savedand I NEVER go there! For me its like looking in a thesaurus! I cant get back out! I wind up with fingers stuck in all the pagesand wishing I had more fingers! So what I did today is YOUR fault! I DID go to "that site" just to look, and an hour laterwhen I was supposed to be outside cleaning up perennialsI was still inside with my fingers stuck in my computer! Ouch! But while I was there I did look up the ratings on the bulb company, and now Im not so sure if Im gonna order from then or not! Half their ratings were positive, and half of them were negativesome of them VERY negative! Maybe Ill just leave the catalog laying around, to make a decisions laterwhich means Ill never get around to it! Actually, since I had never heard of the company, I was thinking of checking out the rating on Daves Garden before ordering anyway. But I really should get more serious about adding fall bulbs to my garden! When the few I have are blooming in spring, I always wish I had more! And I had never requested the Jung catalog I got either, so, checking that list, I guess I got both Jungs and the bulb companys either because I requested the Vermont Bean or the Totally Tomatoes catalogs! I really do wonder how long Ill keep getting some of these if I never order from them! Skybird

Two robins were sitting in a tree when one said "I sure am hungry after that long flight back up to Albany." The second robin agreed, then suggested they fly down to the ground for some nice fat worms. After stuffing themselves, the first robin said he was to full to fly back up into the tree and suggested they stretch out to bask in the warm sun while their dinners digested. So they did. Shortly thereafter, a very hungry cat strolled by, gobbled up the robins and then decided to take a little nap in the sunshine. Way to go Larsi....yep STPP will keep everything behind the scenes in the washer clean, remember it does more than soften water, it holds all the nasties in suspension and keeps it from redepositing on fabrics and the machine. A good rule of thumb is 1 part stpp to 2 parts detergent by weight, I don't think many people want to be weighing this stuff lol..stpp weighs more than powder detergent, I usually premix my favorite detergent and stpp using 3/4's cup stpp to 2 cups detergent. You can't premix with liquid detergent but you can use stpp with liquid. .I know you like charlies booster, but doesn't it doesn't have the benefits that stpp does. Seems pricey at first until you get the dosage correct, but reguardless its so worth it to me. It also aids in more detergent removal from fabric so better rinsing..have fun playing...hope you enjoy....your package was mailed today.

call them if you dont know.. but if they were greenhouse grown.. they need to be hardened off to local temps ....and sun .. you would think they came from new hampshire.. which you would expect to be near equivalent to us... but i would bet my shiny penny.. they wouldnt look like that if they were outside in NH ... you can not plant out a fully leafed hosta.. if there is any chance of frost/freeze ... or you will lose the leaves .. do not compare a recently brought in babe.. with a hosta that has been attuned to your conditions all winter ... besides.. those are also subject to frost/freeze ... but better acclimated at this time ... i would put them near the door.. in full bright shade. .. and put them in the garage if night temps threaten to fall to 32 degrees or lower ... if up against the north side of the house .. even if you forget.. there is a buffer zone right on the house.. in other words.. you might see frost out int he middle of the lawn ... but not right nest to the house ... retained heat on the hosue ... for me.. 3rd week of may is probably the goal for planting out ... in my cold rural z5 MI ... you have to be pretty close to the same ... its always hard to differentiate between what you want to do.. and what you should do... one of lifes mysteries ... maybe it should be rephrased.. between what is good for you [mental health wise.... vs what is best for the plant ...] ken ps: i learned this when i ordered form warmer peeps.. like naylor.. and to get the rarest ones.. i had to order in december .. and shipped orders by receipt ... and did not save plants for later orders.. so i had to take delivery in march ...when they started sending orders .. as nothing i wanted would be left.. by the time i wanted them in mid may ... or the time i ordered from wade.. and was out there planting in barely thawed early april soil.. and by june.. half of them rotted ... who knew.. that a greenhouse babe.. would not appreciate 35 degree soil ... lol ... well.. i learned something .. not what i wanted to ...
