You'd be in competition with those guys that spray the lawn green. :-) Hmm. There could be potential for some collaboration here...

There IS a first for everything, even as simple as boiling water and also making toast! How To Boil Water: boiling pot of water Boiling water is very easy to do, but it is crucial to many meals, such as cooking rice and Pasta. Choose a pot that's large enough to hold the amount of water you want to boil, and has a lid that fits. You might be tempted to use water that's already warm or hot from the tap, but this water has been sitting in your pipes for some time, getting stale. Use cold water if you're going to drink it or cook with it. DonâÂÂt fill the pot all the way up. Keep in mind that anything you add to the boiling water will increase the volume, and plus, youâÂÂll need to allow room for those bubbles to do their thing. Without enough room in the pot, for example, rice or pasta will boil over. Place the pot on the stove and turn the heat to high. If you want to speed up the process, put a cover on it Check for steam escaping from under the lid, then lift the lid carefully to see how the water is doing. Look at the water. If large bubbles are rising from the bottom of the pot to the surface, the water is boiling. NOTE: Small bubbles that stay at the bottom or sides of the pot are air bubbles present in the water; they don't necessarily indicate that boiling is imminent. Wait for bubbles that rise to the top of the pot. Making toast? There are different ways to prepare toast. My way is baked. I don't care for toast under the broiler, or toast from a toaster. I prefer to butter my bread first with softened butter, then baked in the oven. How to make toast youâÂÂd be surprised how many people are unsure of this simple skill or end up burning it every time! IâÂÂve just given you a few pointers to guide you through so youâÂÂll be able to nail it from now on. serves 1 Ingredients ⢠2 slices of bread ⢠butter⢠jam, marmalade or other toppings To prepare your toast ⢠Start by getting your toppings ready ⢠Get your butter out of the fridge so it can come up to room temperature ⢠Get your jam or marmalade out of the fridge or cupboard ⢠Get your plate and knife ready To cook your toast ⢠If youâÂÂre using a toaster, set the control for how dark you want the toast to be before you put it in, push the button down and the toast will pop up when itâÂÂs ready ⢠If using the grill, preheat to high ⢠Once itâÂÂs nice and hot, put your slices of bread under the grill to toast ⢠Keep an eye on it and when youâÂÂve got a good colour, carefully pull them out and flip the slices over with some tongs ⢠Toast on the other side until perfect To serve your toast ⢠When your toast is how you like it, pop it straight on the plate and get spreading your favourite toppings while itâÂÂs still hot

Hi - I'm in New Hope, probably not too far from you. I'll give a few ideas here, but I'll also refer you to my website. I'm an energy consultant and have worked with quite a few people this year making the exact decisions that you're trying to make now. As noted, the oil prices are super low now, so the equations have shifted considerably. For a place like yours, a high-end, properly sized heat pump, at PECO's discounted electric rates, cost about 1/2 the cost to operate than did the oil system, even at $2/gallon oil. At $4/gallon, it was a no-brainer. The critical considerations for effective heat pump operation in our climate: - I would only consider a high efficiency, two-stage heat pump, with variable speed air handler. This is a top-of-the-line system, but there are good reasons to go this route in our climate. - Make sure your house is well insulated and properly air sealed. The tighter the house, the more effective and comfortable the heat pump will be. - Make sure that the heat pump is sized properly for the heating load. Most HVAC companies size for the cooling load. In our climate, this vastly undersizes the heating system and it will switch to expensive electric backup heat. With a two-stage heat pump, the first stage will be used to satisfy the summer cooling needs properly, the second stage will come on below 40 and, if sized properly, will allow the heat pump to satisfy all the heating needs down to below freezing. I can't overstate how important this is! There are some subtlties to this too. I worked with one client who had huge electric bills even though he had a top of the line heat pump. It turned out that when they installed it, they didn't configure it properly, so, even though the heat pump was capable of supplying heat down below freezing, they had it set to run backup heat below 40F! In our climate, 80% of the heating hours are above 35F-40F. If you can run the heat pump down to 30F, then you satisfy 91% of the season's heating. The improves to 95% if you can get it down to 25F. This might not seem significant, but if your electric heat comes on for an extra 10% of the season, it will drive up operational costs much more than 10%. You also asked about single vs. multiple units. Since you've already got two zones, I'd keep it that way. Especially with heat pumps, the delivery temperature is relatively low, so they're much more sensitive to duct losses. It will cost you more to have two systems installed, but doing a properly zoned system, tying the two zones together, will cost you a few thousand $, so I don't think it's worth the savings to end up with a compromised system. An option, if you don't switch to heat pumps, is to get an Energy Kinetics System 2000 oil boiler with hot water coils in your air handlers. You could use a single boiler and run water lines to each air handler. It would also supply your hot water for domestic use. I don't like recommending oil systems these days, but this is an option, and if you stick with oil, it may be a very good option. Unfortunately, the terms of service of this group don't allow me to mention my website because they consider that advertising. So I'm not sure how I can let you contact me directly for more personal recommendations. I'll do what I can via the forums. You can find me by googling "Ted energy audit bucks county, pa" but I don't think I can say more than that without getting thrown off the forum. I'm not looking for more business. It's just that sometimes people's needs are best met with some direct face-time so that I can tell you about the best contractors etc. in the area. Best regards, Ted

Two summers ago Lisa, a longtime friend got married. Nothing unusual about that. For the third time. Nothing terribly usual about that. To a guy 10 years her junior. Somewhat unusual, but no unheard of. At the beautiful, upscale Ritz-Carlton in Southern California overlooking the Pacific ocean on a picture perfect day. No shortage of beautiful days in So. Calif. but I'm sure the Ritz had never hosted a wedding as garish, gaudy and colorful as Lisa's. The colors were shocking pink and bright orange. The bride wore a white bustier with a 30ft train. A woman in the wedding party wearing a hot pink mini-dress walked Lisa's Chihuahua dressed in tulle down the aisle on a long pink feather boa. Martini glasses had feather boas around the stem. Cocktails had flashing ice cubes. Inside the reception room, feather boas hung from the chandeliers. Each table represented a festive country. We sat at the Paris table. There was a large band who started playing even before dinner began as did the dancing. When you were on the dance floor, gals walked around handing out feather boas, sunglasses and other assorted gifts to the dancers. A DJ followed the band later in the evening and two film crews recorded everything. The cake was incredible. It was made up of individual cakes wrapped in orange and pink chocolate and topped with shaved chocolate and chocolate covered coffee beans. Lisa is quite an interesting gal. She worked for me about 30 years ago. Very naive. No education other than high school. She has come a long way and is now quite wealthy. The wedding cost over $100,000 and she planned every last detail herself. It was beautiful, wonderfully fun, perfect day, perfect wedding. I took about 200 photos that can be viewed at the link below. Jodi- Here is a link that might be useful: Lisa and Eric's perfect wedding.
