Comments (28)@Dibgar- I owe you an apology, I missed your question from almost a month ago. The vanity is 93" x 20" deep. It's a 1985 golden oak builder grade vanity that we refinished and added pulls to it. The sinks are 20x14 and are 7" from the edge of the vanity. We don't think they are too close to the edge, we have plenty of room. The vanity is basically two 34" cabinets with a space in the middle that was designed to accommodate a vanity bench. We put a shelf in the middle of it and put towels on that and have a basket for dirty laundry under the shelf....See MorePlease Show Me Your Favorite Wood Window Trim
Comments (4)Trudymom ~ the style of trim is influenced by the overall style of the house. It can contribute a great deal, or it can make the windows look utterly mismatched to the dwelling. Window trim appropriate to a gingerbread Victorian is not suitable for a Craftsman style. Interior trim can be guided a bit by your decorating style [although I've seen mistakes concealed beneath the drapes], but even then one must consider how many panes, how large each pane is and the placement, all of which harks back to the style of the house in combination with the style of interior decoration. Mighty also asked about which rooms, because framing/trim suitable for small bedroom windows may not be suitable for larger or smaller windows in a great room or kitchen. You might do a forum search for pics, and study the various window finishes shown. I'd highly recommend googling "window trim" and just looking at the pics on all the sites. You'll probably get a feel for why one sort of molding is considered appropriate and another just doesn't look right; and how "style" is represented....See MoreShow Me Your Window Treatment Trims, Please!

Comments (0)I'm a frequent visitor/lurker in kitchens and building a home, as we are just starting the homebuilding process. I'm looking for pictures of simple baseboard, door, and window trim to show trim carpenters for bids. We'll have 12' ceilings downstairs,so we can support some fairly sizeable trim, and we plan to use white painted mdf. The kitchen cabs we've chosen are white shaker style, and the plan is very open, so I want to continue the style throughout. Does anyone have any photos or suggestions of where I can get examples to show these guys?...See Morelaxsupermom
