I put some melted butter on them, and a dash of pepper, before baking!

Are they better than the Pillsbury Buttermilk frozen biscuits? Those are pretty good - and if Mary B's are better - I am soooo jealous!

Maybe I got a bad bag..but I wasn't all that impressed with them (Rather have the Pillsbury Frozen). They didn't rise like the Pillsbury kind. When they were done, they weren't much thicker than they were when I put them in the oven.

Much better than the Pillsbury Frozen. I bought a bag of those once, and threw them away.

Glenda, before I put them in the oven, I melt butter in the bottom of the pan, dip the biscuits, and then turn them so that both top and bottom are buttered.
That's the way I was taught to bake homemade buscuits.

I had enough melted butter on mine, that it ran down and under the biscuits. Yummy!

We like the dash of pepper on ours, too.

Lunch is over and they went home with the leftovers. Now all I have is dirty dishes.

Well, monica, melted butter will make EVERYTHING better!

For those of us with Trader Joe's, have you tried their frozen biscuits? I have, 3 times, but am having problems & told the store manager yesterday about them. There are six in a package & they are scored on the top as though you should snap or cut them apart. However, I cannot cut the frozen dough apart & they are not scored enough to snap apart. I tried baking part way, then cutting them, but get a gooey mess inside, plus almost double the baking time.

Mary B's are best in a pan where they are a little crowded. Otherwise they will spread out too much.

Thumbs up here on Mary B's, too. I didn't like any of the other frozen brands but tried these when someone said how good they are. I can get them at our Publix as well as at Walmart. Other stores may carry them, too.

I put mine in a pan sides touching.

Only ones I have had are the Southern Style.
They don't rise that much, but I like them better than Pillsbury.

We really like them here to, the Southern style puff up thick.

I miss WalMarts own cornbread "biscuits" that came the same way (frozen), are they still available in other parts of the country?
With just DH and I again, its not worth making a batch of cornbread, DH won't eat it if its not hot and fresh from the oven.

We like them too. I had never heard of them before they were mentioned here. They do do better if fitted closer together in the pan.

I think the first time I saw them mentioned it was Glenda that mentioned them. My freezer will never run out of them now. They're delicious!!!

And don't forget to sprinkle a little bit of pepper on top :o)

Found them at Kroger today.
Bought some.
Haven't cooked any yet.
Will try adding pepper.
And lots of butter.
