Y'All Want to See A Pic of My Mom??

I just scanned my favourite picture of her. You just HAVE to see the lady you've all been praying so hard for.

This was taken just 2 years ago when she was 73, and she looked just like it before she got sick.

Jasdip, what a wonderful picture of your Mom. She looks radiant and I can't believe she was 73 when that picture was taken. She is beautiful and I hope that she is feeling better and moving toward a full recovery. Satine

this should do it for you for a link. Just go to your photobucket album page that you want to post the pics from. If you want the entire album to be posted, then click on the address in the address bar, then click edit, then click copy. return to the GW page and click on the optional link URL, then click on edit again and click paste. Not sure greenthumb. I'm pretty bad at I.D. Maybe a leafhopper? Which is a bad guy. But to be sure, I post my pics in the pests and diseases forum. Once I get a positive I.D., I then enter "UC IPM 'pest name'" into google and go to the link provided to look for possible biocontrol and/or "organic" remedies. I'm sure your tarantula would be a nice addition to the garden. Kevin

Thank you all so much for the warm welcome! I look forward to becoming a trainee 'Enablers R Us'! I will definitely post pictures, just as soon as the stuff in the Michael's bags currently spread out on my DR table have been wreathed, swagged, ornament basketed, ribboned... you know, basically frou-frou'ed! :-) (Note to self - yes, turns out I do have to wait for the weekend to finish the DR chandelier, because by the time I get home from work it's dark, and since it's the only light in the room those flame bulbs get HOT, and no, I'm not dexterous enough to swag it, ribbon it, etc and not get burned...) Ahem... so, pics targeted towards the weekend. ;-) Karen - you've got me hooked with the thought of Mikasa holiday figurines at thrifts! Jeannespines, I'm now thinking I need some more snowmen! Marlene - scary! I was just thinking I might need to search out a deal on holiday tableware....slippery slope, isn't it?! Really happy to be here, all - thank you again for the warm welcome!

Josephine: Thanks for the nice words (everyone else, too). I dug some earth and mulch away from the High Society in case it was too deep. Don't see much improvement. I put the new border edging up because the "landscape workers" had repeatedly rammed their mowers into the former polyresin faux rock border and taken chunks out of it, which I repaired year after year. Got tired of it and invested in the Landecor cast concrete faux rocks, which I then raised to the necessary height to retain the mulch by putting a layer of complementing bricks under the rocks. It's not the trimming of the grass near the garden that damaged a half-dozen of my valuable plants, it was the indiscriminate and careless spraying of WEEDKILLER, fer cryin' out loud, right next to a garden. Takes a special kind of cretin to do that, and that third-rate landscape company has them in no short supply. Haha, can't wait to see what happens when mower meets CONCRETE. I also ordered a new female half of the stolen female half of the quick connect for my hose. They forgot to steal the male half. Like I said, you suburban folks have your voles and deer, and I have 2 legged critters working on the destruction of my plants.

I think you resemble your mother a lot--lucky you to get those "young" genes!! She's really pretty and I hope she gets that smile back soon.

she's lovely...I hope you have printed this picture, put in in a frame and set it in her hospital room, with a litltle note introducing your mother to them.....its a good thing to remind the health care providers who they are helping...
