Hubby just had another chemo treatment so we had to go to town. Roads not bad, blowing snow and temp now 0. Much better than yesterday at 30 below when we had to go in.
Storm expected either tonight or tomarrow. Not sure how much as this one is coming from Colorado instead of Canada. So I too am kind of making sure I have plenty of food on hand.

My laptop tells me it is 40 degrees here. I went out this morning to a women's group at church. Many people not there because of sickness but as always a comforting time. On the way home I intended to stop at grocery but it was very cold, wind chill in 20's. So I came home and took a short nap with the kitty and found more clothes to keep warm and discovered it is sleeting. Now I am leery of going back to the store because I use a cane and recently fell and broke my nose and stirred up the arthritis. But like many of you I want cornbread with a pot of soup and I have no cornmeal. So I am going anyway! Surely I can manage to stay on my feet. Your conditions are much worse than mine.

Bright and sunny here--although I haven't been outside yet, so don't know about the temperature.

Spent some of the morning working on a recipe revamp--was able to lower the calorie count by about 75%, then made some samples of it. They'll be going with me to a meeting at the newspaper--where I'm a columnist and on the food advisory panel.

This afternoon, I was glued to the Jodi Arias trial, but so as not to feel I'd wasted my time, I was working on a hand-pieced quilt I'm making to enter in the county fair this summer.

Its bright, sunny, and COLD. We went out for brunch and my Jeep's therometer read 7F with a cold north wind. Two hours later, the temperaure was 14F. We are expecting a little recipitation on Thursday. Hopefully, it will be warmer by monday.

I will be taking the wife to the opthomalogist on Saturday to get her eye poked with a sharp stick, not really, she will get a tiny laser drilled hole in the eyeball to relieve pressure. The other eye was done last week. Her eye pressure had taken a sudden and sugnificant increase. This procedure is considered an emergency, yet simple to do. On the plus side, it was caught in time before any damage was done to the optic nerve and sensors.

I have been sewing baby gifts all afternoon. A young man I used to babysit for many years ago is becoming a new dad in about 6 weeks.

It's snowing in Tucson!!!!! Golf tournament was cancelled today due to snow. Tomorrow should be back to normal.

Walked the track at the Y and used the machines! Feeling good~
