Need recipe for pork chops in slow cooker

I was hoping someone might have a recipe that uses pork chops, but cooked in a slow cooker.

Pork chops are wonderful in the slow cooker. I dip boneless chops in egg and then corn bread stuffing mix.
Use the mix as it comes from the box and reserve the left over. Brown chops lightly. Takes maybe two minutes. Lay them in the crock pot. To the left over dressing add about 1/2 cup each of chopped celery and onion. Sprinkle over the chops. Pour over 1/2 cup of white wine. Cook on high about 2 1/2 to 3 hours.

That's a great idea for the leftovers, when ya' got any, that is. I cooked a med-lg roast for the three of us for dinner. DS works a late shift and he did major damage to it when he got in from work so there was only enough left for sandwiches for DH & I for lunch. We're in the midst of DIY remodel and this was a perfect easy to do, no-fuss dish. I made up the marinade and marinated o/night & plopped it in the crock pot the next day. Served it w/ stir fried green beans and some leftover potatoes that I pulled out of the refrig. Oh, and I left the roast whole. The marinade permeated the roast just fine. No doubt also because you cook the roast in the [other half] marinade also. Any way, it's a great dish; wish I had about ten more so easy & delicious meals to get us through this remodel.

Thank you jasdip. I figured the cut you used was a shoulder. I think the marinade would work on the cut I have in my freezer, but I won't do well in a slow cooker. Chase - there are people who lurk and don't have much experience. I asked so jasdip could clarify to those that don't understand that different cuts respond to different cooking methods. Chase you wrote: "jasdip, not to worry. Most on this forum can figure out the cut and the size based on your recipe." Yes Chase I agree with you in part - but there are always newcomers and inexperienced people who visit also. And there may be people who don't know how to cook at all. I use a really lean roast and cut off the fat before I make it. The beauty of this recipe is that you don't have to use the stove! I usually pour off a lot of the cooking liquid before I serve the beef. Rather than cook the meat before hand (which you could easily do), you could cook everything in the crockpot and refridgerate it over night and then skim off the solidified fat. Often do this just out of convenience. Good luck!

this sounds good mountain lady, I think I'll try it w/chicken thighs tomorrow. I don't enjoy pork anymore due to a strong sensitivity to pork taint flavor, but for those who do like pork chops, I bet this would make tender smothered style chops. Question on the recipe-I assume you're doing the usual egg then flour dip then brown well? Its a little unclear on that step.

I just dump 1 can cream of mushroom soup and 1 can cream of celery soup on mine, let cook all day. Nummy gravy and tender porkchops.

I brown my chops and then just have a hey day putting things in with them..If I am in a tomato mood I add them and onions,garlic, etc etc or mabe just cans of soup....with pork chops you can put them in the pot and add anything to them and they will be wonderful..I always love to ut them in with potatoes and carrots.

Place pork chops in crock pot, add 1/2 c sliced onions, 1 can of cream of celery soup, 1 box of stuffing, and 1/4 c water. Yummy!

My husband's favorite crock pot recipe for pork chops is really easy and something I put together out of items I had on hand for dinner one day. For 4 chops, I rub the chops with cayenne pepper (a little goes a long way), dry mustard, salt and pepper. I then brown them in a skillet just until golden. Then I put in the crock pot with some dried minced onion, one can of chicken dijon condensed soup, and two Tablespoons of white cooking wine. Then cook on low for about 5-6 hours.

I use a two cans of cream of mushroom soup and a can of mushroom gravy and often times more canned mushrooms or fresh ones if I have them on hand. Place in the slow cooker all day and then I serve it over noodles!!

great for leftovers and frozen too!

This is wonderful! Slice a small onion in the crock. Broil chops just to get the fat out and place on top of the onions. Pour some bar-b-que sauce over and cook for 4-6 hours on low. They are sooooooooooo good. This receipe is even better using ribs. It's one of the easiest recipes I know of. Hope you enjoy it.
