It is pretty difficult to give you really good advice from here with that info. The 8232 would be a D600. One that old very likely could have the bottom crankshaft bushing worn out causing the bottom crankcase seal to leak. This would cause hard starting. Check crankshaft where it comes out of the bottom of the engine, is it wet, oily? A little is OK, a lot is bad. Have you taken the carburator float bowl off and cleaned it out? How about the primer, is the rubber bulb cracked, is it delivering a shot of gas when pumped? The 8237 is an "F" series and would have needle bearings at the bottom of the crankcase. The bottom seal could have come out though. Check for primer function on this also. Both of these carbs will have adjustment screws yet. The 8232 is on the right side sticking out with a coil spring behind it, try turning it counter clockwise an 1/8th of a turn. The 8237 will have a screw recessed in a "well" on the left side of the carb. Both of these directions are facing the air cleaner. Walt Conner

James, I have no issues with the heat because they grow inside my house. I never put them outside, even for a couple of minutes. I grow them in a spare room that has a large window that gets early morning sun. I also have them under cheap grow lights that clip onto something that's near the plants. The grow lights take an ordinary grow bulb or you can use those long square grow light bulbs. Either type will work and the total cost is really cheap. Ever since I found out about the water my plants are growing fast. I use only organic fert. since the other types of fert. can burn the roots. The organic can not burn the roots. A guy that I purchase miltoniopsis plants from told me that since most tap water is purified to get rid of bacteria and other things most tap water contains chlorine and chorline burns the delicate roots. I never thought about this before and since I found out about chlorine being in most tap water, this makes sense plus you can smell the faint odor of chlorine in the tap water. I can't tolerate the heat so I stay inside and I set my thermostat at 70 degrees. If I'm happy with the temps. the plants are probably happy too. I almost forgot one important issue. I have a humidifier working 24 hours. It's a real cheap humidifier that I purchased off of Etsy. The humidifier looks like a fat white stick. I stick it in an old plastic water jug and you can see the mist coming out. Apparently it works real well. I can't tell you the brand because it came in a company box and everything is in Chinese including the instructions. I think that the humidifier cost me around five bucks. My set up is cheap but I haven't killed any plants. I currently have about seven plants putting out spikes. I have about twenty plants and I don't want anymore. I'll probably get another one only if the flower color appeals to me or if it's a cross that I don't have.

Saturday, Oct. 3  The Maine premiere of our film, A Chemical Reaction (www.chemicalreactionmovie.com) sold out well in advance and made for standing-room-only conditions in the theater. Post-screening comments were enthralling  including one woman from Baltimore, Md., who waited in line until everyone else had left the theater. "I really need to talk to you," she said. "Everyone needs to see this film and I can help." On the spot, the woman offered a $10,000 matching grant for all donations raised by our non-profit foundation between now and December. Her goal is to help us raise the finishing funds needed for the movie to pay for historic footage and insurances etc. so that we can begin selling and distributing DVDs to the masses. We really need EVERYONEÂs help in reaching this fundraising goal in the next two months. Sunday, Oct. 4  More than 160 people attended the premiere of the movie in New Brunswick, N.J., on the Rutgers campus. Feedback continued to be wonderful. IÂm helping them out with some how-to pieces and public relations materials. ItÂs interesting to me that organics really hasnÂt gained a foothold in a state where the water issues are so prevalent. RFla, what a sweet, sweet post!! I remember all those feelings when my baby -- the only boy after two girls -- left for college. I though I'd never recover! He's now 37, with a sweet wife, a 6-year old and 2-year old twins of his own, so he's experiencing the overwhelming love I felt for him. It sounds as if you're doing it exactly right -- you've raised him to have both roots and wings, and that's not an easy balance to achieve. You're making it "easy" for him to leave home -- which is healthy and appropriate -- yet making it clear that he's still a huge part of your heart and your home. You're helping and supporting, and I'm sure you'll find it possible to gradually back away as he achieves more and more independence. My daughters both moved away from us after marriage . . . and now, after 15 and 19 years, we'll all be building homes next door to one another on a Tennessee ridge. Having established their independence by living away from us, they're now able to reconnect without feeling stifled. We're enormously excited about having them and half of our grandchildren next door!! Treasure the past, enjoy the bittersweet moment, and look forward to an exciting future.
