It's information I've read too. And while I was reading the previous 30 posts I kept thinking "you are supposed to cut the flowers off in year one!" And "don't bother planting in the fall!" t. It's not rude to start a new thread to post new information. It is encouraged . I hope you'll do it. I think you'll get a lot of interest. As well as a lot of complaints about the all the echs that have died in people's gardens after one season. I hate to think of the money I wasted on all those Big Sky echinaceas. Marie

Greensand comes from mineral deposits that once were part of the ocean floor and has a nutrient analysis of 0-0-3 but is known to contain several other micro nutrients. It can be a useful amendment for soils lacking those provided there is an active Soil Food Web to convert them to nutrients plants can use which means you also need sufficient levels of organic matter in the soil. Concentrate first on getting adequate levels of organic matter in the soil and then test to see if you need to add greensand or anything else. Many people have found that after a few years of getting, and maintaining, adequate levels of organic matter the nutrients are in sufficient, and balanced, supply without spending money on these supplements.

I grew Glamis Castle for 5 years. It was a moderate sized bush, not spindly and bloomed well in flushes. Removed it to plant tea roses. Gave it to a friend who has it in their garden now. Not a fragrance I like, but as a landscape rose in my area, not bad. I grow Christopher Marlowe - have seen glorious plants of this locally and that is why I bought it. Mine was slow growing the first couple years. Floppy canes and not that impressive. Will prune it hard this year and see what it does next spring. Geoff Hamilton was in my garden when I first redid it in 2005, it was one of the first roses to get shovel pruned and put in the green bin. Poor bloom production and extremely poor re-bloom. Don't remember much else about it, it didn't last long at all, think I got rid of it within 2 years. Have no personal knowledge of Sharifa Asma and Windermere.

No shipping will occur. I am a hohbiest and will only sell locally, come get 'em . Since I live near an isolated rural community, I probably won't sell much. There seems to be a little more interest in my castings. I got 3-4 cubic yards that need to be harvested and used. I do this by hand and its a lot of work to harvest. Last summer I sifted and sold about $600 worth. No more sifting, just dig and fluff. I am getting $2 per gallon for unsifted castings. I got a call from a local non-profit community gardening group. They wanted some castings and worms to populate a new bin. I will go check them out and maybe donate what they need. I also will have a new 4'x8' bin to populate at the horse arena nearby. We are members of the riders association and I am excited to expose the other members to vermicomposting. IThe bin will be lined on 3 sides with RR ties and the front will be removable fence boards.It will have 2 lids and the members can make direct deposits into the bin as needed. I guess I will see what effects occasional de-wormer will have.
