We don't find them here in VB that often, so i thought it would be fun. : ) Mike.. You are so sweet to say such nice things about the little one!! He does have blonde hair!! LOL.. so i guess he is the one you were talking about!! ;-) We do need to catch up on the plants.. Your Gardenia is looking wonderful and it is ready to send off to you. I am sure you will enjoy this "Old Fashioned" variety which came from my mother's yard. The flowers are huge and the fragrance is to die for.. You will be happy!! Thank you AL. OH let me see if I have this correct. YOU have an issue with YOUR tomato plants. YOU post asking for input and opinions, YOU dont know what it is but YOU know its not the pot size!! Sounds like a 13 year old to me! Then when others offer an opinion YOU get all rude. If you dont want other folks opinions why do you ask for it? Those Tomatoes will not grow to thier full potional in those size pots. So the size of you pots is an issue may or may not be whats causing your sweet 100 to die but it is an issue. I dont think any one was "complaining" about the size of your pots. I dont think anyone on here could care less what you grow (or kill) your plant in! So nanny nanny boo boo!! How rude!

Thanks Lori! I agree ~ I needed something somewhat attractive, since I am in a front-facing condo. So I ventured into the woods and cut down a bunch of 3/4-in or so bamboo, and used twine to lash it together. It has worked pretty well thus far. Unfortunately, during a couple thunderstorms, the whole thing ~ pot and all, has toppled over. Luckily the vines escaped unscathed, with only negligible tomato and small branch casualties....however, the bamboo cage broke apart at a few junctions, so I have had to re-lash with more twine here and there. I have since drove 2 stakes into the ground, diagonally behind the pot corners, and secured with rope to the lower bamboo junctions for additional support. If a considerably strong thunderstorm is on the horizon, I carefully pick the whole thing up and move it to the patio...ugh it is so f*ing heavy & tall! ~Caroline
