Update on Glen---went to St. Louis Tuesday

Well, we went and saw the Interventional Radiologist on Tuesday. Very nice young man. I'm starting to feel old LOL!

He showed us a diagram and explained how he will go in through the groin area with a catheter to his liver and inject the chemo near the largest tumor and then somehow put a plug in to keep the chemo from going to the other parts of the liver so it won't damage the good tissue. Glen will have to stay over night and then when he is able to walk etc. they will send him home. He told us the blood clot wasn't an issue since it isn't completely blocking the vein. Also, he said he does 3 or 4 of these a day. Said Glen will have a pain pump hooked up afterwards and he might get sick, fever etc. We're praying that he doesn't. Some pain may not even occur for 1-2 weeks after the procedure when the kidneys are trying to filter out the chemo that doesn't get absorbed by the tumor.

We will be going back on the 14th of March to have it done.

Then he can go back to work on Tuesday the 18th.

It was soooo windy going up and also a little bit of snow.

My hands started to cramp from holding the steering wheel so tight! LOL!!

TIA,

Charlotte
