Neuro appointment update

It's not the worst news.. for brain tumours. The neurosurgeon recommends brain surgery for the big one now, because, while it would be ok to wait a little while, they are more complicated to remove the bigger they get. And it would have to be removed at some point anyway. The big one may have infiltrated my sinus cavity (which would be bad), and if so, he would recommend radiation, otherwise he wouldn't want to do radiation. The smaller one is more complicated and more risky, but he wants to remove and deal with the bigger one first. The surgery for the big one would be about 4 hours, one or two days in the hospital and 4-6 weeks off work if there are no complications. He would do it in about two months.

I'm glad that the initial appointment is over with, and I'm glad that he is optimistic about the outcome (barring complications- risk of which is 10%).
