Can You Pray

I am asking for your prayers because I know the power of the KT prayer.This young woman is in the early 40's.I have known her DH since he was 7 years old,a family from our church. She worked with my DH the year before he retired and is one of the sweetest people I know. Three weeks ago she was sick and thought she had the Flu.Her DH kept trying to get her to go to the doctor and she kept putting it off saying she would be OK.DH went to work one night and when he came home next morning she was really sick so he took her to the ER.The hospital and doctors here is a sorry excuse for medical care.We call it death mountain it's so bad.She had pneumonia.They immediately admitted her to ICU and put her on 100% oxygen and I think on a respirator,I'm not sure about that.Anyway,she kept getting worse.She only had half of one lung working.DH wanted to transfer her to another hospital the day they admitted her but they told him she would never make the trip,which I don't understand,so she stayed there and got worse and worse.There were a few times they didn't think she would make through the night.Every time they wanted to move her the doctors would say she wouldn't make the trip.Finally yesterday,after her organs are all shutting down the doctors decided it was time to move her to another hospital in another town! She made the trip but there is little hope she will recover.Her husband passed out when they told him.I feel so sorry for him and their kids.They have a daughter that is 19 and a 16 year old son.It is so sad,especially to think maybe if she had been in another hospital sooner things may have been different.I still believe in miracles and I am praying for one for this family. So please send up all the prayers you can for her and her family.

I can't imagine how horrified her family must be. Sending prayers for a quick and complete recovery for this young lady.

weather.com shows 2.68 inches at Midlothian airport, but my gauge shows 4". It's nearly all gone from my yard now, just the low spot in my driveway has a puddle. We took the gutters down to paint and the water ran down the valley by the front porch and filled the flower beds instantly. We got a LOT of rain. I was afraid to do laundry yesterday in case the septic lines couldn't get rid of the water but today I did a load with no problem. I had noticed some big cracks in the yard Wednesday and they are all gone today. I hope the next deluge hits the rest of you and we just get a nice little shower.

They like clumps of grasses. If you have any ornamental grasses, or patches of wild grasses, stick it in among the (dried) stems. Otherwise 1) protected from wind, 2) where water will not soak in or accumulate 3) where no one will step on it, 4) where there will be some [small] insect life.

Would men be allowed to participate in this conversation? I am profoundly touched by the poignancy of Annies and Rob333Âs life accounts. Not trying to patronize anyone, and also donÂt mean to go off-topic here, overall, fundamentally men are the causes of most womenÂs problems. John Edwards, Bill Clinton, Elliot Spitzer, Jesse James, ------- It is very curious to me, why after millions of years of evolution, the chasm between men and women seems to be growing wider and deeper. I was invited to a book launching event recently. Barbara Hanna Grufferman wrote a book, a non-fiction book titled "The Best of Everything After 50: The Experts' Guide to Style, Sex, Health, Money and More". Of the few hundred who attended, 98% were women. The 2% men who were there most likely were there because they were designated drivers. In the audience, most women were over 45, many over 55, and quite a few around 70. There were a lot of discussions between the author and the audience during the presentation. It boils down to one theme: men problems. I have not been in a gathering like this before. It saddened me that a great many of them were or have been in Annie and Rob333Âs predicaments. Sorry to go off topic again. Without pornography, Internet would have been in the Dark Ages. 85% of Internet traffic is for pornography. With no censorship, small boys can now view porn and all will. My crisis have been nothing compared with others. Â Where would you go? Obviously everyone can't just drop everything and jet off to Italy...where would you go if you did a local journey? Traveling is great but stressful. I am happy staying home, my garden, my workshop, my kitchen, my home office. Â If you could take off on your dream journey -- where would you go and what would it be called? (i.e., Shop, Dance, Run?) One day, IÂd like to visit all famous chefsÂ home kitchens, eat with them and then tell you guys that many of them really cannot cook like you guys. dcarch

I just got word that she passed away.Keep her DH and family in your prayers.I know her DH will be lost.They were so close.They admitted him to the hospital after he passed out but I don't know what is going on there.

Oh my...how awful...I am so sorry for that family...

Something should be done about that health care.

Maybe people can get together in her memory and DO something about it...

I sympathize with you about the hospital conditions. We are a medium-size town (50,000) and have two hospitals, but we call it "Hillbilly Healthcare" and go to Oklahoma City when possible.

Lilliepad, Doctors can be wrong. Miracles do happen. I will stand in prayer with you for this lady and her family.

Matthew 18:18-20 says:

18Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
19Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
20For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

How very sad! Of course I'll pray for this family.

This just makes me so mad at that hospital! Something should be done about their so called care taking! I think someone should look into this hospitals records....something!

Thanks everyone for the prayers.I know it is going to be so hard for the family to get through this.She and her husband have been married about 20-22 years and were so close.Knowing him I can't imagine how he will cope.The youngest child has some serous mental problems too so I don't know what will happen with him.It's just so sad that she might have made it under different circumstances and I know her DH is probably going to blame himself for not insisting she be moved earlier.
This hospital is notorious for medical blunders and misdiagnosis and treatment.If you have insurance they keep you there and tell you it's dangerous to transfer you to a different hospital until they get all the insurance money they can,then when they see you are about to die they don't want it on their hands and send you somewhere else.Same thing happened to DD's MIL a couple of weeks ago.The kids finally insisted on removing her and taking her to Lubbock.They had misdiagnosed her but fortunately caught it in time.I told my kids and DH they had better not ever take me there!

What a tragic thing, all around ... if only she'd have been willing to go, sooner.

And been transferred.

Sending good thoughts for the family ... and some prayers on their behalf.
