small bills for tips

* Several cans of Fix-a-flat--sometimes a can won't work right

* Electrical tape and Duct tape...'cause ya never know

* Handiwipes

* Hand warmer things

* Gloves

* Complete change of clothes, down to undies (for layering & for change of clothes if it's raining and you have to look under the hood or change a tire)

* Extra undies & sanitary supplies

* Extra jacket, sweater

* Phone book for area she'll be traveling. She should write in the front the following:

a. Numbers of at least half a dozen friends/family she can call to come after her

b. Numbers of service stations, tire stores and any other places with towing services (they charge mileage, ya know, so get ones close to her)

c. Number of the law enforcement agency that governs that area. You don't want her stuck in "411" or "911" hell while dispatchers patch her back and forth and nobody wants to claim her.

* Map of the route she'll be traveling. A city map would be good, but she can also run up a small one quick on Mapquest. She can then study alternate routes in case of accidents, road hazards, etc. In an emergency, she can tell crews exactly where to reach her--in case her cell doesn't have that tracking thing in it.

* Some sort of white cloth to tie on her antenna in case of car breakdown--instruct her to stay INSIDE her car, door locked, until official help comes. If somebody offers to help her, she stays inside and doesn't roll the window down but a crack.

* Disposable camera, in case she needs to snap pix of an accident
