Do you know anything about this?

A friend of mine said she wanted one of these things but I can't find it or know what it is. She said she saw it in the American Profile Newspaper magazine, in the Garden shop section. It is a Lavender smelling heat type pad that goes in the microwave. She remembers the figure of 40, that could be the price or dimensions. I can make it if I knew how big it was and the details. Can anyone help with the info? Thanks

I need to find the exact one she wants, it could be a blanket for all I know. It was in the garden shop/center part of the paper from what I understood. She's old and a bit confused. I was thinking someone may have saw it advertised.

Pepperseed is right....I do have both Jamaican Black and Ice Cream mangoes and I did write about both previously. I have been searching for the thread that I wrote about the Black mango but cannot find it. I did say that I would not have purchased it, in hind sight, based upon how it has turned out. Not being from Jamaica, I have no idea what the real Black mango is supposed to be. I bought mine from Maurice Kong (who is Jamaican) and it is a very small and uninteresting mango. The tree is also a small one and a very slow grower......close in size to Ice Cream.....so in that sense, they are similar....at least at my house. The fruit, however, is nothing like each other. Ice Cream has that strong resinous taste and complex flavor, is light color, almost white fleshed while Black has yellow/orange flesh and little or no resinous twang. The fruits are shaped totally different. But who knows, for all I know, maybe what I have was mis-labeled. As far as the doudouce mango....I have never heard of it. Based on its size and fiber content, I don't think I would be interested in growing it. Harry

I recently bought a Dell 660s with Windows 7. I was seriously considering HP, but at the time I was ready to buy, the only new HP desktops I found came with Windows 8. Just chiming in with 2 cents more..Like some others here, I felt it was time to get a new computer, as my husband's is rather old and running XP, and I don't like Windows 8. My old PC is a Dell Inspiron 560, which my husband will get to replace his, and I have the Dell Inspiron 660s. Both Inspirons are running Windows 7, my hope being to hold out until Windows 9, if it is more to my liking than "'8" and I live so long (I am an old lady already, though not retired!) This may well be our last Dell. Our last 4 or 5 computers were Dells, and we have not had any trouble with them. BUT, this time I found it very frustrating to make a recovery disk in case I need to return to factory condition. The Dell Insp. 560 made that easy with a prompt right at set-up. This time, I had to search through some programs Dell had set up, one part of which, by the way, referred to clicking on a "tile," although this is a Win 7 machine. Then I got a message that some necessary file(s) had not gotten installed correctly (that would be at the factory!), so I had to download and install them, and they didn't appear in my PC for some time, so I didn't know if I had succeeded or not. Finally, an icon appeared that allowed me to make the restore disk. Particularly frustrating was the way certain explanations from Dell would tell all about the restore disk and other things, but not contain a button to click to actually DO them. That is possibly the fault of the faulty software installation I mentioned. Whatever...this experience has really soured me on Dell. Next time I will probably be looking for other recommendations here.

Several years ago I took a four-class staging course at the local community college. The person who taught the class had her own business staging and was teaching this class for folks interested in selling their own houses, I believe. The course probably did not teach me anything I couldn't have learned by reading books, watching HGTV, etc., but I consider it worthwhile anyway because it was really fun. An added bonus was that some specific ideas did stick in my mind so that when I ended up having to sell in a hurry, I could. The teacher had a certification through one of the organizations that offers the more costly courses for professionals---so if you were to take a course, teaching DIY folks in classes like the one I took might be another source of income :)

We chose Minka over Murray Feiss for some bathroom lights to save a few dollars. Bottom line, we returned the Minkas and ended up ordering the Murray Feiss. You definitely get what you pay for...the Minka lights were complete junk. Every crystal was scratched...two of the three units were missing pieces...and, the company didn't even want them back! They told us just to keep them so we're just going to throw them away. Our Murray Feiss lights for other areas of the home were of great quality.

Joanne, I got one of these things for Christmas, it's called a "Bucky Hottie". Mine is a travel pillow, but they also have body pillows, etc. I included a link so you can see the product.

It is filled with buckwheat and has a scent package that you put in after you either nuke it in the microwave or take it out of the freezer. Mine is a lavendar scent. It is glorious.

OK JoAnn,,,I dug through all my old papers and found it for you...The specifics are 25" Long and 3 1/2 inches wide....it is made of washable polester chenille....Item number #35-614 for $21.95...

The description says The Aroma Wrap relaxes aching muscles while easing away stress with the scents of lavender, rosemary or and clove. Heat it in the microwave or chill it in the freezer to relieve tension headaches. Soft, washabble poylester chenille...

I have something similar bought from one of the state fairs several years ago. I love it! It really does help with tension headaches.
