Quad outlets or plugmold?

I need some help with my electrical outlet placement.

I have 10 outlets (5 receptacles) in my backsplash now (well, it's paint, but where the backsplash would be). I use every single one of those, so I know I need 10.

But my actual counterspace in the new ktichen is getting smaller so 5 receptacles is going to look very cramped. DH's best friend - an electrician - who is doing our electrical is trying to talk me into quad outlets. I am thinking there must be a good reason I've never seen anyone do quad outlets in their kitchen, eh? If so, what is it?

Here is my plan. What would you do?

Outlet placement:

1. counter between fridge and cooktop

2. just the right of the cooktop

3. on the window wall in the corner (I also have a double light switch there)

4. plugmold just under the cabinet in the corner

OR

4. no plugmold, but an outlet in the backsplash close to the corner (so I would have 2 outlets in the corner, close together - one on each wall)

What would you do?
