Anyone here get any kind of positive relief taking Maca?

I googled it and the "overview" sounds like a cure all for everything. Scroll over to side effects and read there. It does not list the side effects but tells you about dosage amounts.

The thing you have to understand about stuff like this, it is a drug. It can be dangerous they put the word natural or nature and people assume it won't hurt you. It is especially dangerous if it has hormones in it like it mentions. It is not approved or controlled by the FDA.

no but it is a plant which grows in high altitude so I would plant it during the cooler months.

I USED to take it - sorry, but the memory is bad, so don't recall if I felt any differently. I do know I tolerated it well.

I am so glad to see your post, Grainlady, about the side effects of such things as the maca powder. I am sometimes torn between what is prescribed and what is more or less natural. My doctor is one of those who is very skeptical. On the other hand, when I was trying to build up my hemoglobin and taking alfalfa, that doctor said whatever I was doing was right and to keep it up. It is always good to note the side effects. And, Grainlady, whenever I see your name, I will see you dancing around the kitchen to your heavy metal and rock music. I agree wholeheartedly, good music makes anything more bearable. I do that, arthritis and all. Barb
