bump!!!

We have a 31' travel trailer and go camping all the time. Before you leave pack it with all the essential of your normal kitchen/home so that you have everything handy. I bought stuff to leave in my trailer so I wasn't raiding my own house for stuff. Before we leave I always plan our meals and make my grocery list and go right before we leave and then come back and pack up the camper. Take plenty of blankets and sheets. My DH likes to leave the camper a/c at about 65 since he says he's not paying for electricity so our camper is very cold at night. Bring lawn chairs and a plastic table cloth. Campsites usually have picnic table, but they are not very clean. We have 2 strands of white christmas lights that we string up on our awning for light at night. They provide plenty of light for dinners after dark and if you just want to hang out and talk outside. We always unplug the when we go to bed. We also have to dogs that we always bring camping with us. One of them is a lab and she loves going swimming in the lake while we are camping. Any places we have ever camped required dogs to be on leashes at all times. We bought both of our dogs stakes to put into the ground and they have a 6-8' chain so that they have plenty of room to roam. Bring a small shovel and ziplock bags to put their poop in. You definately want sealed bags because if not your trash will be stinking very quickly. Both of our dogs sleep on the floor in our trailer at night. We have a small trash can inside and a larger one outside so that we aren't running to the campsite dumpster constantly. Most of all have fun and take a pen and paper to jot down things you forgot and will want with you next time. You and your dogs will have a ton of fun!!

olychick... thanks for your feedback. I suppose I just needed to hear it from someone other than my DH that side-by-side baths are ok. And that wall that butts up against the tub in the left bathroom "hides" view of toilet from hallway/doorway, so no need to reverse the door there. weedyacres... I think you hit the nail on the head about the disproportion of my MB layout. Something about it doesn't sit right with me, but I'm not very good with visualizing things based on a plan drawing. I'm not sure what you mean by shifting the closet down. Do you mean moving it into the current Playroom? We would like to keep that room undisturbed since it will be the office after the addition is done and building into that space would make it less than ideal for what we had in mind. What do you think about switching location of the shower to where vanity is? And moving MB door to the bedroom side (thus opening into the bedroom, rather than hallway)? I am open to making the shower smaller, too. Our contractor is suggesting building walls around shower so there would only be glass door (apparently, glass panels that large cost a LOT).

Hi, Frank and welcome to the world of Plumerias! Everyone is nice here, so the only bad question is the one not asked. Plumeria cuttings are generally allowed to callous over. There are some that can go right in the ground (pudica). Leave them in shade while they callous over. Then plant in moistened (not sopping wet) soil. Clear plastic bottles with drainage will allow you to see the roots form. Just make sure the high draining substrate is compact enough so the cutting doesn't move around and the newly forming roots are not disturbed. I live in a hot, high humidity location but still place the pots (with the entire body of the cutting) in plastic bags with the top open to increase heat and diminish moisture loss. The newly potted cutting should be kept out of direct sunlight but in an area with good air circulation. I place mine on a table on a warm porch so nothing gets to them. They will root in 6-8 weeks. Check weekly for signs of stress or rot. As soon as you see signs of new growth, you can fold down the bag and begin watering lightly (no standing water in bag). When it develops a vigorous root system and nice growth on top, transplant to 6" pots and acclimate to full sun little by little. In my personal experience, I've rooted 10 cuttings successfully using this method. I lost one to rot. All the very best on your new venture. Maria Elena
