Proliferation. Nothing to worry about. Some roses do it no matter what you do (or don't) do. Some seem triggered by too much nitrogen. Others seem to be triggered by weather changes or extremes. It is also a common "fault" carried through the breeding line of Souv. de Claudius Pernet, for whatever reason. Don't worry about it as it is simply part of the characteristics expressed by many roses. Ralph Moore created a little red mini which did it all the time, every flower. He planned on using it as a premium plant to be given away with magazine subscriptions. He considered it a novelty because it resembled a red salad bowl with a lettuce salad in it. I raised one which did it frequently and was quite attractive. Unfortunately, the plant under it wasn't very good. Tequilla Sunrise did it all the time for me. Many others do, too. We had our 36" R series installed about 15 years ago and the door was very noticeably sagged on the left from the get go. A few times over the years we tried to have it corrected by authorized techs and kept getting the runaround. Now there is a new authorized repair company that has replaced the one we originally had tried to deal with, so last year we gave it another try. The tech told us that the left hinge was bad and that the part was no longer available. The left side is the hydraulic one and the right side is a heavy spring. I am mechanical and easily found the OEM part number, still widely available too. When I told the repair company, they said they said they would have their most experienced tech verify the correct part and he would accompany the other tech on the next trip to do the swap. Weeks later they send the original tech with a part that looks nothing like the correct one and he says the other guy isn't coming. I turn him away. I find an excellent instructional YouTube by "Hameed" that gives me the confidence to order the part and do the work myself. There were layers, but I was up for the task. There's a new challenge now. If you let go of the door, it will fly shut. Kind of dangerous! I called Wolf tech support and they wouldn't give me any advice except to say I needed to call the authorized repair company. I told him I have no faith in them. I didn't want to drift too far off topic here, but I had also intended to have said company replace the broiler igniter. Long story short, I will be doing that myself as well. So I keep searching the internet for advice. Somewhere I found one other person asking the same question, but no one replying. That's it. I do plan to try some adjustments, but I have serious doubts that it will make a difference. It may come down to me just putting the original hinge back in and living with the silly looking, less efficient, crooked door on this otherwise esteemed brand name range. In the meantime, we set a Le Creuset dutch oven on the door as a hold open solution while loading and unloading the oven. -Marcia

Kendrah , I appreciate your input. The area underneath, between the front of the sink & vanity frame, is .75" (took another picture with a flashlight for a better view) The area underneath behind the sink (where the faucet hole is), measures ~2.75". Also included diagram of the faucet. The piece that goes underneath is smaller than the part that's above (appears to fit within the circumference of the base above). Again, in the grand scheme of this renovation, we were not married to this faucet, and would still be open to another faucet, as long as it provided equal reach/comfort/quality, and blended in with our other fixtures reasonably well. Our issue is more that we don't want to settle for a vanity top that is out of proportion visually or functionally (difficult cleaning, having to lean further forward, etc.). I'm providing the faucet pictures/info in case it turns out we picked some weirdly proportioned faucet, and that the unusual sink/faucet hole placements are a result of accomodating our faucet model (while still neglecting our window stool!) Because in that case, it would seem to be sort of 'our error', and not something we can necessarily expect the fabricator to to remedy (at their cost)? If this were the case though, I would think they would have communicated something to us like, 'hey, so you should know -- if you choose to use this faucet you will have very little space around it' or similar, before cutting the stone..

I looked at the website. They do specify Italian Carrara, but probably use all the material they have and some tables will end up with the less pretty/perfect parts of a slab. I would take it up with the store, but I'm sure they have some wording about it being a natural material and not being "perfect". If that table was on the showroom floor, I would not have bought it with that crack/fissure, unless it was a really good sale/discounted price.
