Tylenol Arthritis Pain Medication...

This stuff must be pricey. I got a $5.00 off coupon in the mail, and don't use the medication at all - coupon is only good in Canada, sadly, - anybody in Canada able to use it?

Tylenol Arthritis Pain Medication, 650mg, 50 caplets. Coupon is good til the end of '08.

Doesn't work for me. There are times I wish it would. I used Arnica Relief Cream this weekend. Worked great. It's made from flowers grown, I believe, in Montana. It takes a while to work, but once it does, it works for 5-6 hours. I can get it at g n c.

Tami....friends of mine, myself and my sports massage therapist all use something called "Serrapeptase". I can't say enough about it and it doesn't damage anything....seeing you're into the natural stuff too. You can google it if you're interested. I get it at my health food store, comes in little gel caps.

I'll recommend a product that has put surgery off for both my husband and myself. About three years ago he was diagnosed, after months of agonizing pain, with bone-on-bone arthritis in the hip. His options were much like yours, though his research indicated that the shots and meds were NOT the way to go, and actually counter-productive. He actually got the point where he was checking the calender for a good time to be laid up for several weeks. As a last ditch effort, he got on-line and found a liquid joint care product that intrigued him and decided to try it. In two weeks, he was pain free and has been so to this day. His bad knees were also improved. You'd think that I would have started taking this stuff as a preventative, but I wasn't that smart. I was recently diagnosed with bone-on-bone arthritis of one knee and the other one looks bad, too. It took me a bit longer to feel the benefits, but though not pain free, I am about 75% improved. Our product of choice is Flexicose Liquid Joint Care. We have bought it by the case for two years, now. Don't be tempted into the inexpensive pills that can be purchased at Cost-Co, etc. Compare ingredients and the percentage of the ingredients. I am sure that there are many good products out there; we just happened to have discovered this one. It would be well worth the investment to try something like this. His chiropractor now stocks this stuff for his clients after learning about Robert's story. We are both relatively young (50s) and I'm not sure if that has anything to do with how well glucosamine works. My elderly aunt didn't have the response that we have and had to have surgery.

Tendto, I'm glad the water remedy helped your husband. I read on the other arthritis thread about also adding salt to the water. I have to add a caution for both your remedies: Anyone with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) and other ailments needs to be very careful about overdoing liquid intake. In fact, most people suffering from a host of ailments are taking diuretics to eliminate excess water in their system. The excess water creates edema and makes breathing difficult because the lungs fill up with liquid. And people suffering from all kinds of heart problems including CHF and high blood pressure need to lower their salt intake. So, while this remedy may help your husband, it may actually be dangerous for others. Unfortunately, many elderly deal with heart health issues, swelling, and difficulty breathing. So they're a particularly vulnerable group.

The link below is from an online veterinarian. Scroll down until you see 'Tylenol Safety'. From what I've read tylenol 'may' cause liver damage in some dogs but it's not a common side effect. Your friend should return to the vet and seek long-term pain relief for the dog. I wouldn't call keeping the dog comfortable the same as 'pumping him full of unnecessary meds'. Tylenol is not an anti-inflammatory med but it is a pain reliever. The dog's hip problem is from inflammation or arthritis and she'll need a med that will be effective for those symptoms. I would think the dog should be OK after taking the childrens liquid tylenol, but she should call her vet and consult with him. Here is a link that might be useful: Tylenol safety

I tried it--in fact, I bought a large bottle (360 caps) by Neutraceuticals from Vitacost.com. I didn't try it for long, though, because it seemed to make my joint pain worse. I can't say for sure that the ACV was responsible, but I stopped at least temporarily. Later I read that it is the acid in grapefruit and oranges that causes joint pain for some, so perhaps the acid in ACV is the problem. Somehow that doesn't seem all that likely, though, so I may give it another try. If that doesn't work, I'll be offering the bottle as a giveaway on the KT. :-) My joints are feeling relatively good now, though. Giving up peanuts and grapefruit made a huge difference! I use the Wal-Mart brand of Arthritis pain capsuls. It is the same as name brand Tylenol. I use it everyso often when needed, but seems to do the job.

Tylenol is an analgesic...it will not relieve the inflammation of arthritis(the cause of the pain), only mask the pain itself.

I've been taking the serrapeptase for 3 weeks now and I can't tell one bit of differance, what am I doing wrong........I take 4 capsules a day, no relief at all.

I take 6 per day because I can not take any inflammatory medicines and I don't think it helps but the doctory will not let me take anything else.

I think the only difference between Tylenol, Extra Strength Tylenol, and Tylenol Arthritis is amount of acetaminophen in each. I don't believe there are any additional ingredients in the Tylenol Arthritis.

I think that the Tylenol Arthritis container may be easier to open as well.

I have terrible arthritis in my lower back. Like Monica
said Tylenol doesn't relieve the inflamation. Advil works
againest inflamation. I purchased Tylenol Arthritis and
it didn't help.

Well maybe that's why the coupons are out - maybe nobody is buying it..lol.

I've been reading up on serrapeptase and do not yet know if it works. But, everything I've read says it must be taken on an empty stomach. If not the acids in you stomach will destroy it. I works after it reaches the intestine and has a special coating that allows it to pass through the stomach undamaged. Food seems to increase the likelihood that it will not make it to the intestine undamaged. (that's just my take on what I've read) Also, it seems that the longer you've suffered with the condition, the longer it takes to begin showing results. Again, just what I've read and not from personal experience. I would investigate any new medication pretty thoroughly before trying it and I'm still in the process of doing that.
