no period for 4 months and now for 12 days and counting

I haven't had my period for 4 months. Now I got it again 12 days ago and it hasn't went away yet. Its not heavy really. Its just there lol.

At first when I wasn't having it I had heat flashes like crazy. Then they went away about a month ago and now here I am.

I'm 41.

I figured it was just stress from my both my Dad and my husband passing away in the past year.

I don't have healt insurance and really don't want to go to the doctor unless I need to.

Any thoughts?

12 days is enough for me to say call your gyn and make an appointment. It could simply be caused by hormone changes or it could be cysts, or polyps causing the bleeding. Get it checked out and then you will know for certain if it is simply hormonal changes or something that needs to be addressed.

I had my period for 6 weeks, Lady's Mantle and Shepherd's Purse tea was the answer to my prayers. I use organic dried herbs purchased from a near by herbal store, mix Lady's Mantle and Shepherd's Purse in a 3:1 portion. 2 cups of it for a few days should take care of your problem. If not you should really see a doctor. There should be a public or christian community health center you can go for free health services.

Sorry - I don't check this forum or that e-mail account often :) Rest assured, I am working on getting everyone's packets together, I should be able to finish them up this weekend and get them out. It's normal. The delay is because your body is getting the hormone in the pill out of your system. It takes me sometimes 3 or 4 days. Once I didnt get a period for several months but knew i wasnt pregnant (no signs, just a feeling I wasnt). My pill's hormone level was too high for me. If you dont get a few periods and rule out pregnany, that may be it. Sometimes when on the pill you can skip a period, or just spot a little.

Hello all, We are still swimming here in Southern California. I got the pool up to 83 degrees last week with solar heating only and the kids were swimming very happily. We should have another small heat wave coming next week with temperatures in the eighties again. I have never looked at the weather report as much as the last few weeks since the pool was done. njfolks: The stone is called Red Mountain. Mostly grey with some beautiful rust colors here and there. All the stone (flag and stacked) is that same stone. I had them replace several pieces on the flag stone that was flaking badly - but the rest has been fine. As with any stone, there will be a few bad pieces here and there. Just make sure they don't install those pieces. I wish I could take credit for the design - but it was the builder's designer who made our smaller yard into all that entertainment space. Here are some nightime pictures of the fire pit:
