angel4, I think people are hesitating to answer you because we're concerned that if you did have something wrong with you, you might not know it if you don't get the biopsy. But I'm going to tell you off the top of my head what I think you could try for a week or two. Have you ever used those menopause pills that are available everywhere? I think a variation of the word Estrogen is in the name. If it were me, I'd try taking those as half dose the first week, then full dose the second week and see if that did anything. Good luck!

My gosh. I thought I was the only one in the world, and here you all are! I'm 55. I had an hysterectomy when I was 41 and my ovaries removed at 43. I have been on estrogen only HRT since I was 44 with no issues. I had a normal mammogram six months ago. I started taking methotrexate for arthritis six months ago and my extremely sore and swollen breasts seemed to start when I moved to the higher doses of that drug. I even had some evidence of lactation from my right breast. My GP ordered hormone tests and they all came back in the normal range except SHBG which is a protein that binds to sex hormones to carry them around in the blood stream. I also had a mammogram which showed enlarged ducts with some debris. (My boobs are trashed after breast-feeding five kids but nothing they did is anything on this pain and tenderness.) I missed a couple of doses of methotrexate (taken weekly) and my breast pain seemed to start to diminish. I also stopped my HRT because I was so desperate for some relief. After a month, the pain has substantially subsided but I still have a residual tingly burn and they haven decreased much in size. I am yet to have repeat hormone tests or a repeat mammogram. I will try the flaxseed recommended above and post anything else that changes.

Please seek out another medical opinion. There are several medical conditions that can cause the symptoms (hot flashes) that you are having. It may be menopause. This is easily confirmed by some simple blood work. It could also be related to some other underlying condition that needs some medical attention. Please ask friends/family for a recommendation for a family doctor, one who will listen to you and to what your concerns are. If it is indeed menopause, there are treatments for the hot flashes. You need to become educated regarding what really works. They call this "evidence based medicine". In other words, treatments that have been scientifically tested and are known to work. Not just some company that is anxious to take your money. Bu finding a good, caring MD or NP who will listen to what you have to say, run some tests to further evaluate, I'm certain you will get the help you need.

First of all, 135/80 IS a bad reading! 100/80 is more like it for your age.... 90/60 is not very low either... :o) when I was a long distance runner, mine was 70/50(resting pulse 45). :o) So, you definitely have high blood pressure, and that's no joke! I am not a doctor, so I can't say what's causing that... in my family, we start out low and go very high... right now I am at 90/70... so I am creeping up. irritable bowel MAY be caused by perimenopause, OR it could be caused by gallstones, which gave me IBS, OR another link is fibromyalgia. I don't think that acidopholus will help with ulcers. It's a great thing to have in you, and you need good buggies in your intestinal tract, but I don't think it has much to do with an ulcer. I am not a doctor, don't even play one. :o) BUT, I would pressure your doc on this, you might have several things going on here... it's POSSIBLE that it's related to perimenopause, it's also possible it's related to a lot of other things. I understand your reasoning though, and treating the underlying symptoms SHOULD be the goal. :o) Maybe your doc needs to figure out WHAT the cause is.
