Nope...I think the back is too tall and it's way too red for your softer colors. I think it would look very out of place. Sort of like you were storing something for someone until they got their new house painted. LOL!

I'm with lindac....I don't think it looks like it would fit in with your room. The red is way too bright...I like what you have now much better.

I think it might add interest. Looks like you have red in the dining room rug and a number of accessories. If you can return it with no problem bring it home and see for yourself.

I think it would work, you have little accents of red but I think you need a big item in red so the little accents of red make more sense in your room...they belong with something.

I'm with lindac and boo. Your room is so light and airy that I think the chair would draw your eye away from the room as a whole and that is all you would notice. I also think that all your wood is of the same basic tone, so the dark wood would stick out as well. If there were more variation in your wood tones already, it could be a different story. I can, however, see bringing in a punch of color by making a cushion for your window seat, if that appeals to you.

If you can, I too think you should bring it home and return if you don't love it. If you love it, but not sure of the dark legs you can always replace them or even sand them down and refinish them to match the legs on your living room furniture.
Not that I don't like mixing wood. It's just they'd be the only thing that very dark walnut.

At first thought, I thought that it wouldn't work...
but I see that your DR rug and throw pillows have traces of the same rusty red so this chair just may work.
I like that it's a smaller scale too.
If it doesn't work there in that arrangement, are you open to fitting the chair in elsewhere or rearranging???

I have already asked if I could buy the chair and bring it back if it doesn't work. Since it's on liquidation, they said no.

Today is "scratch and save" so I'd save a bit more but I may just let it go.

As I said, the color on the monitor is way off. The colour actually matches my throws and pillows. (not in pics)

Does the style of the chair work with the rest of the furnishings?

Hi, although the price might be a good deal, I'd probably pass. I think the traditional style doesn't work with the more contemp style of all the other pcs. As mentioned, the height as well as color is going to make it waaay too dominant even though there might be little touches of rust elsewhere.

If you had the club chairs with a table paired together, do you have room for another chair elsewhere? It doesn't appear to be a very large space and you just might be "there" already as far as space for seating is concerned.

Oh...is this a recliner? I'm wondering what is up with the open "space" between the bottom of the wing and the arm.

I still say it would work with your room, as far as the wood color goes, you can always add baskets and such to go the darker wood tone in your room. Having said that I dont think it will go in the spot where the glass table is, it look like it would be too big for there.

You could make it work, if you have the room, but do you really need the extra seating?
As jant mentioned, the space looks complete but if you need another chair I'd combine the two club chairs on one side of the room and highlight the wing chair on its own. The dark legs don't bother me since I have different types of wood furniture in my home.

It looks like most of you don't think it would work while some think possibly..... so...........I passed on it.

I may be too late, but I think it would look good in the room, just not next to the other chair. It would look good to replace that chair with the red one and move the light chair to other side of couch if possible.

I'm glad you passed on it. I had a similar situation in my FR at one time - your eye went right to the chair and pretty much saw nothing else. Look for a chair with fabric that has more of a pattern.

I'll post again if/when I see another chair. I'm in no rush.
