Post menopause symptoms

Can anyone tell me if you have any symptoms of menopause once you're post-menopausal? I've had for several years dizziness, heart palpitations, anxiety issues but i'm three years post-menopause now. My gyn says these are no longer associated with menopause at my stage. She said I should have no symptoms due to menopause - except maybe hot flashes. I'm 55. I just wondered if any other women still have any of these symptoms once they're post menopause. I can't believe my gyn is accurate in this thinking. Can someone please let me know if you still have heart palps or dizziness or whatever other symptoms you may have had in peri-menopause or menopause. Thanks!

Do some research on natural progesterone cream. You may have estrogen dominance, which causes many of the symtoms you have. Dr. John Lee wrote books on this subject. I had heart palpitiations and at night my legs hurt so bad I had a hard time walking after I sat for a while. This cream helped me a lot it also helped me sleep better, do some research and see if it sounds like something you should try.

Old thread i know , but i am four years post menopause and get what i call buzzy on the top of my head when i turn from side to side or when i look up its so annoying i have had tests come back clear, i have been tested for thyroid blood sugar ears eyes balance blood pressure sitting standing all fine . My doc says we can't blame everything on menopause but i don't know i feel this is a post menopause problem

I had a similar problem. Went to a urologist because of the urge to urinate and no bladder infection. I had a build up of cysts in my bladder. Condition is called IC, interstitial cystitis. Doctor did a simple, painless, in-office procedure that helped. That was five years ago and I haven't had any trouble since. Also, cranberry juice and other foods make it worse.

Yes! I've been on BCP forever because of PCOS. My doctor told me the same thing about getting off the pill to see if I'm in menopause or not. She said I had to be off it for 3 months before she could do an accurate blood test because my hormones would even out by then. About 3 months ago (while still on the pill) I started having the hot flashes and lots of headaches and aches and pains. I decided to go off the pill to see what would happen. I also went to a proper GYN and she said I only had to be off the BCP for 7 days before she could do the FSH test and determine whether or not I was menopausal. Result was a 32 she said was post menopausal. I haven't had a period for 2 months now off the pill, however these past few days I have had a lot of cramping, am very bloated and am having discharge that looks like ovulation. I don't know if that means I'll get a period or not. They say you are not officially in menopause until you have had no period for 12 months. So to answer your question: I felt that my menopause had started breaking through the BCP as well because I was experiencing those same symptoms...maybe the BCP just masked the menopause until it started coming on too strong to be masked??

Ladies you are not alone. I have prayed so hard for a way to get better because my depression was 'hurting' me so bad. I had repeating negative thoughts that were 'speaking' to me so loud I could hear myself sometimes. You know with the help of God, I found books and articles directing me to use yam base progesterone cream and pregnenolone. I apply my organic yam base progesterone cream according to dr. To deal with postmenopause symptoms you can look into Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy, the treatment focuses on replacing your bodies natural hormones to prevent disease or illness, it can also help with symptoms. However if you are still experiencing symptoms it would be related to 1) your health 2) your body weight 3) your activity/ lifestyle. I do have some of those symptoms, but they are not in any way associated with post menopause. I think my dizzy spells were caused by stress of caring for my husband who had AZ. I had heart palpitations but it was just a fluke and before menopause. As for painful legs....do you take a lot of calcium? I hurt like ***l when I first get up, it's arthritis and it helps to walk more during the day. My husband had that problem following surgery and it was just sitting to much. My grandparents said, "I'm stove up this morning". LOL And, I feel it is just part of the aging problems, the people in the neighborhood that I talk to are going through the same thing.

If you were 20 and having problems like this you wouldn't think anything of it.

Symptoms still carry on into post menopause, however post menopause is different in the way that after menopause the lack of hormone production and other adjustments your body makes most definitely leads to a heightened chance of sickness, disease and illnesses. I would recommend researching Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy. Hope this helps

Yes! I still have post menopause symptoms. There is nothing good about meno, except no periods! If you take hormones, you increase the risk of cancer, and it is a nightmare trying to get the correct balance of hormones, if you take them. I just try to roll with it the best I can by eating well and getting a little exercise.
