eek! I was going to ask if the bumps looked fuzzy thinking maybe a fungal infection. But I guess you have it under control. I hope the Proform LA works for you. I dont know about it, but judging by your '(ouch)' I'd say its expensive. btw, my Koi jumps too..man can they jump! And nothing is wrong with him. When I first got mine I had read in many dif places that Koi are known jumpers, so I never thought twice about it. I love it when I am right at the pond when he jumps. You will be treating the whole pond correct? I dont agree with just treating the sick fish in a hosp tank, or whatever. Better to treat the whole pond and rid the pond of the parasite, then to have to keep treating fish over and over again individually by not getting to the root of the problem. DD has been following the regimen on the acne.org site for nearly a month. The CSR 2.5% benzoyl peroxide has really helped her mild acne, and she hardly experienced any irritation, just a lot of dryness at first. We liked the stuff so much I ordered another six tubes to cut down on S/H costs. I thought we would try the CSR before investing in the much pricier ProActiv package. There is also a section on the site where people can rate various products such as moisturizers. Apparently, different people absorb moisturizers differently, and some cause some folks to break out but not others. I also tried some of the suggested products like the Cetaphil cleanser for gentle skin. It made me realize that the harsher oil stripping products I had used for so many years actually made my skin oilier as it tried to compensate.

I just got home from taking my son to SFO to fly to Spain for a year of study abroad, and on the way home I stopped in Berkeley to see an old school friend who I have recently reconnected with via Facebook. She and her husband make organic skin care products and it was fascinating to see all the natural ingredients that go into them. They had pots of things bubbling away that will eventually be distilled and incorporated into their products. She sent me home with some products and I will report back on how I like them.

I developed mild acne as a late menopausal effect - mostly like red dot-like pimples in the T-zone that would last forever. I am very opposed to synthetic chemical solutions whether used systemically (as in pills) or topically (as in weird antiseptic cleansers). Any ingredient with more than ten letters is suspect, and to be avoided. However, I went vegan this year and just by chance started drinking a cup of miso soup for breakfast daily. Voila. Acne gone. Clearly, it's the phytoestrogens. (How many letters does that have? Well, still, NOT synthetic.) Obviously, if you have any tendency toward breast cancer, this is something you would want to avoid, or discuss with your doctor at a minimum. I'm lucky enough to have pretty much zero risk factors, and I feel safer with a more natural alternative. As a bonus, vaginal dryness also improved.
