Last night's sunset (Florida)...

open water here, unlike back in MN, where the temp was supposed to be -20 last night with wind-chills of -40!

I am so lucky to be in Florida for the winter!

Joan, your pictures are beautiful, as usual! I just read that sunspot activity is about as low as it has ever been so there's not much chance for northern lights right now. In more active years we used to see them often in August and September over Minnesota lakes. I'm in Florida now and miss them so much! Kate

Thanks Josh. All it takes is getting into the habit of looking up once a day... Actually, if one would just take the time to notice what's going on around them, expand one's bubble of perception, so to speak, then more people would capture moments like this. When I lived in California, I loved to sit on the Beach and watch the sunset over the Pacific.

When I went to Florida, I got my drink and set on the Destin Beach waiting for the sunset. LOL! It was over my right shoulder. I had to laugh at my stupidity.

Beautiful pictures. Even though it has been 35 years since I was in Florida I can still feel the balmy weather. We are back in a rain mode here. I would rather be anywhere there is sun. Doesn't have to be warm but it would be a definite plus. LOL

Everyday like this - we hope it is the last one for the season. Tomorrow should be much better. Spring is only a month away!

Joan, your pictures are beautiful -- But, that first one almost looks like the sun reflecting on snow (that nasty four-letter-word!)

Some people we know at our church, just came home last night from Orlando, where it was 85*. At home here it was -20*. That is a 100 degree difference! That's enough to shock a body! LOL
