Thank you for the birthday wishes. We usually don't make a big deal out of birthdays in our family. Wednesdays are my regular day off from work so DH and I headed out to the scrapyard with a truckload of metal from our recently departed stove. Then we went to lunch at a Greek restaurant where we both had deliciously prepared lavraki (bronzini) - mine grilled and his cooked in a clay pot with tomatoes, parsley and pine nuts. On the way home we stopped at a car dealership for DH to finalize the paperwork for a new car he ordered for me and should arrive in a few weeks! So it was definitely one of my more exciting birthdays.

Thanks for all the Birthday wishes everyone. It was a nice quiet day spent with family. My mom and little brother(even tho he is 50, he is still my little brother ;) )came up from Mass. for the day. We drove down to the beach and the Nubble Lighthouse. Hung out at home and got caught up on the rest of the family. My daughter Ariel made dinner-lasagna roll ups, garden salad, and garlic bread. Wayne made my birthday cake-lemon cake with coconut frosting and double chocolate ice cream. They just left for the drive back to Mass. It was a great day! NancyLouise

Not sure if you mean "ex sister in law" or "ex son in law", but it's nice that cousins got to meet. I have a lot of 1st cousins once removed that I've never met, but not because of divorce, since I've never been married. Looks like a nice gift, and it's one that I would have liked also. I don't have one, and so I can't give you recipes, but I'm sure you'll be able to collect plenty here! Glad you had a good day. So far I'm optimistic about this year, even though it ends in "13". Happy Birthday David! Are you baking your birthday cake? If so, what kind? I was going to bake myself something for my own birthday dinner tomorrow but we have to take off for Ohio. Maybe a week from tomorrow I'll finally get my B-day dinner...LOL...no biggie. Nancy
