I imagine they were at least 9 years old. At that time, we lived on the edge of town, lots of kids in the neighborhood. Cheryl and Terri wanted to sleep in our travel trailer with a couple of girls. Well that didn't set too well with our son, he must have been 7 or so. So to make things nice and calm, I told him I would sleep in the yard with him in his pup tent! Their Dad was working 3rd shift and not home. Oh, that ground was hard, I don't think I slept much at all that night.

I don't think DD did any sleepovers at other kid's houses until she was around 8 or 9. I used to babysit a girl DD's age and sometimes that girl would spend the night at our house.. she was about 4 at the time. Not sure if that is considered a sleepover, but as much as they were giggling and goofing off before they fell asleep.. I'd guess it was. lol

Once DD got into junior and high school.. there were LOTS of sleepovers. Almost every weekend DD and her GFs were spending the night at somebody's house... it was at our house a lot.

My sisters and I all had kids the same age.(with in months and weeks of each other)So we had kids doing sleep overs since they were 3 or 4. Everyone stayed fine except one niece! She always had to go home around midnight! LOL

My daughters started sleeping over at friends' houses when they were about age 7 or 8, maybe 2nd grade. My kids never had a problem going to other houses. But once my daughter had a friend sleep over and the girl decided in the middle of the night that she wanted to go home. Another time, my daughter had a sleepover for her birthday. She was turning 10. Two of the girls got up during the night, went snooping in my kitchen, found a jar of honey and poured it on a third girl. After all the screaming, I took all three home. And I apologized profusely to the girl with the honey in her hair and her parents. She was a very shy, sweet child. I have felt terrible ever since. Never leave ten year old girls unsupervised!

DD was probably in 2nd grad so that would make her 7. DS didn't sleepover at a friend's house 'til 3rd or 4th grade. He did go to Boy Scout camp when he was nine as a Webelo.

Most sleepovers for DS were birthday parties. DD had them both with single friends and groups. This continued all the way through college. One year she brought home a whole slew of them during a break. I think their were 4 or 5 girls crammed in her bedroom and 3 guys shared the the hide-a-bed in the family room. We had a lot of fun and made memories.

Sophie is 7. She went to a sleepover with her Girl Guides group last year, and she's going for one with a different Girl's club next weekend. She has had a friend stay over here for a sleepover, but I've not let her go to friends' houses yet. Sophie's been independant enough for sleepovers since she was tiny.... It's me that's not completely comfortable with it.

A good friend of mine asked if Sophie could stay there with her kids some night soon, so I'll let her go. I know them well and trust them completely.

First grade I think.... I believe Jaime's was for her 7th birthday. I don't recall with Jeremy.

I was older, maybe 11 or 12. Chloe's been invited to sleep at friends' houses, but only makes it until 11:30 or so before she wants to come home.
