Hi, Could people please please post pictures of there rooms done around dark brown leather sofa. I have one and also lots of black-brown furniturein the living room. Looking for some ideas...

Hi there! We just got ours and are in the midst of decorating, so it's hardly "done," but this gives you a general idea of the direction we are going.

Hi, Nice sofa. We got a bright multicolored rug too which is why I am stuck on wall color and window treatments...i guess i need to get the curtains first before I pick the wall color

Thank you for all of the great feedback! I went sofa shopping yesterday. I went to Thomasville and saw a couch that I liked called the Benjamin. I know that Thomasville is only a mid level quality but I also have to consider that my two little kids who will standing on it (now matter how many times I tell them not to do it :)) I am also going to take a look a leather sofas made by Hancock & Moore since that they have such a great reputation. A local retailer in my area (Bucks County PA), Hendrixsons, sell them.

Are you asking for a style of chair, color, or for a type of upholstery that would work with your leather sofa set? As for style the most important thing to find is a chair with the right scale. Small chairs with large leather pieces don't generally work well. Color is so subjective and depends on your wall and rug colors. My personal preference is to use a patterned upholstery in darker colors with brown leather. One of my fav upholstery choices with leather is a heavy tapestry and there are many colors and patterns to choose from.

Thanks Guys! I didn't expect it to come as half as good, I'm not too experienced at sewing (yet! lol) so I really took my time and measured everything 2-3 times... I have a regular brother sewing machine, used upholstery thread. The only non-removable part is the bottom panel that I stapled down, all the cushion covers and the armests are removable for washing and secured with velcro closures. I might add more velcro to the inside bottom of the armrest as there is some bunching.

Mimi: Seems like you haven't gotten many responses here - people are probably busy for the holidays. My $.02...I think the fabric has an updated feel, but not totally contemporary, so it works for me. I like the fabric a lot, my only concern is it against the Flower Pot walls. I love that Flower Pot color, but on my monitor there doesn't seem to be any red in the fabric, just a brown color. I would be concerned about the red not tying in or having to pull the red in elsewhere. But not sure if the monitor is correct. I happened to see an episode of Find Your Style on HGTV this afternoon. In the final room, they ended up with yellow walls, had brown leather chairs and also used blue. Below is a link. It might help with the brown/yellow questions you have...I think it looks nice all together. Good luck - I'm sure you and your daughter are having fun figuring it all out! Here's mine. Creamy slipper chair & ottoman, silk WT (goldy olive colour) and wall colour is BM Inukshuk but I'm repainting a goldish brown, maybe BM Decatur Buff or Norwester Tan or maybe Lennox Tan. Using scarlet red as an accent colour. Hardwood floor, still need rug.

Here's mine. I'm in the process of redoing the mantle. After Christmas decor came down I really got a bug to make some changes!
