Recessed Light Spacing

I am completely renovating my bathroom and want to use recessed lights for the general lighting. I will also have sconces or a bar light at the mirror (on seperate switch) for makeup. The Bathroom is a typical small bathroom, As you walk in, the width is 3', then is goes to 5' and the length is 9' with the bathtub/shower along the back wall.

Cost is really not a factor and I would spend the extra money on 3" or 4" cans if they would look better. I will probably have 5 lights, 35W each on a dimmer, one centerd in the 3' entry part, 2 over the toilet/sink area and one centered in the shower. Is this too many, not enough?

What is the typical spacing for 3" and 4" cans when used for general lighting?

Thanks
